The darkest metallic green is
Dark Olive Metallic or dunkelolivemetallic code mx6
It almost looks black without light.
It was used in the 997 and Cayennes in mid to late 2000s
As most know, I am not a big fan of 'Metallics' so I don't
follow them as closely as 'Solid/Uni' historic paint colors.
There might have been a 'Viper Green Metallic', color code 249, in the late seventies. This might have been
the one with 'Bronze' metallic flakes:
And supposedly there was a 'Viper Green Metallic' in
the 1976 914 too, but that had color code 96N.
This might be the one with 'Silver' metallic flakes:
Once they start going 'Metallic', it changes the
whole look of the color or hue. So there is little
in common with the historic 'Viper Green', color
code 225:
Interesting. If I understand it correctly, Glasurit supplied Porsche and BMW at that time.
BMW had Taiga Metallic (code: 072) which seems extremely close to Porsche Vipergruen Diamant (silver-flake) Metallic (code: 264) which is, as you say, not the historic viper green. Coincidentally, I'm painting my little 2002 in Taiga.

My wife's '05 Boxster is this color. Wonderful in the sun with a gold metallic and solid black in the shade. One of my favorites in the green pallet.

MAKE SURE THIS FROG DOESN'T GO FOR A SWIM!!!!!!!!!!!!
A swim? The RS can handle it! No problem.
And Lumber was smart enough to have a
crane at the ready in case he went in! That
is what I call 'strategic placement' in a photo
shoot!
Congratulations, Lumber! A swim? The RS can handle it! No problem. And Lumber was smart enough to have a crane at the ready in case he went in! That is what I call 'strategic placement' in a photo shoot! Yes, it happens. Little harm but a bit of foul! Saludos, Eduardo Scottsdale
