Default G Force guage

Anyone view results? If so, do you think it's accurate?

I've been looking at the guage quite a bit, mostly out of curiosity. Don't know enough about how it's figured out, let alone how accurate it actually is.

It recorded a 1.4g from my recent mountain run. Cannot imagine that accurate.

I don't usually look at the g-meter; in fact I have the display deactivated most of the time. But at our autocross a couple of weeks ago a friend and I used it to compare numbers in our GT3's. My meter indicated a 1.59 left and 1.44 right which at least tracked with the fact that the highest-g turn was a left hander. My numbers were also higher than my friend's and his time was slower so there's at least a relative correlation.

The ECU relies on lateral acceleration input for a number of in-car systems. If the g-meter is getting info from those same sensors, I'd suspect they were pretty accurate.

If I was able to get these readings on a stock Carrera S on regular street tires, you guys should be able to do much better.

^You could get High G's spinning out of control. Doesn't mean it was a fast time

montoya, we need you to drop everything, go for a run, and check for accuracy against your Solo....
