Ultimately, it's your decision and based on what you drive, we are probably a bit different... So here's a variation on a theme.

I would trade the turbo up to the RS.

I would also trade the 458 to the Speciale.

I'd be left with pocket change to buy flowers for the wife and an extra slot for whatever comes next, e.g. RS Cup...

But that's just me.

Speciale

At least you'll still have 9000 rpm redline bragging rights.

Digging the conversation that you shouldn't get the Speciale now that you (and others) are able to maybe get one. Reminds me of that old Woody Allen line about not wanting to be a member of any country club that would lower its standards so much as to admit him I ,of course, would swallow my pride should someone decide to send a spare Speciale my way!

Ha. Pretty funny. I like the idea however the reason I got the turbo s over the gt3 initially is I need back seats as I have two kids under 10 and I drive them from time to time and can't stand driving the Mrs SUV. I also considered the FF for this but was too big for my liking.

Speciale. Get what's probably going to be the last and greatest naturally aspirated IC engine ever built by mankind.

^^^ this

If I had this situation and the available cash, I would grab the Speciale. The last NA mid-engine Ferrari, will hold its value well. The Speciale will hold its value 10x better than the scud and 15x better than the 458 you currently own.

Hmmm, Randolph, G650ER or G5? I think G650ER, Mortimer.

Pardon me, but would you have any Grey Poupon?

I've been going through this myself, I can't stand big cars and it's rare that I need the backseat, but from time to time it's worth having. I don't have anything at the moment, with a back seat.

I think I'm going to end up going with RS + 488GTB + Golf R or AMG GLA45 (so our nanny can drive it too). If Audi brings the RS3 here, I'll get that instead of the but it's a little bit of wait and see. Had a TTS for a bit, but want something a little more practical in that spot.

Sorry I didn't read the whole thread. Why can't you buy both but flip the Speciale in a couple of months for some $$ and being more "in" with the Ferrari Dealership family(Italian Mafia style).

Unless you are a track guy, I personally think a 911 Turbo and Italia is your best combination. The speciale is a great car but very few in the US will ever be tracked.

I think our nanny would love to work for you! I bought her an old jeep! Glad I did because she has crashed Two times so far.

Back to OPs question,

I was offered a speciale at MSRP not to long ago. Decided to pass because I'm a Porsche freak..😃And a few other reasons!
Kind of having second thoughts right now if I made the right decision? I love the inside of the F car! Speaks a lot more to me than the RS interior.
Good luck with your decision! I think you'll be fine no matter what!

Hate to tell you this, but.....

Speciale prices seem to be continuing to increase - at least for now. This one at Ferrari of Austin was originally listed a while back for $349,995. They have since increased the price to $389,995... See this link:

No doubt it would be a fantastic car to own! In more than one way. But I'll just hold of for the stripped out limited edition 991RS. I've always liked 911s. There is just something about them that I like.

A couple of years ago I was lucky to spend a full day on track with Ferrari and the 458. Great experience and the Ferrari treatment is nothing short of sensational! I think we will see more of this from Porsche, starting with the compensation for 991.3 delays if I'm not mistaken.

without question if you can afford it get the Speciale and sell the 458. i currently have a scud and 991 gt3 and even thought the gt3 is much more comfortable to drive, faster, handles better blah, blah, blah the ferrari and especially the Speciale is a work of art.

I agree the Speciale is nice art.

However, am I in the minority, feeling the 360 Modena is prettier than the angular, anime-look of the 458? The 430 is slightly chunkier than the 360. I realize the 360 is older technology, less hp, etc., but I find it the prettier car and it does make nice noises.
