Default Build Date fon my RS

I received my commission number and build timeline this morning for the RS. Fixed date is 9/25, delivery is 11/27. I will consider giving this car to a Founding or Board Level Member of my country club. I also have a GT4 on order with a delivery date of 8/28- probably doing the same with it. My 2015 GT3 is a great car, and I am not a collector but wanted to hedge my bets when I originally ordered it so I put deposits last fall on the RS and GT4.

Not true, fellow Rennlist user Whoopsy already got his commission number last week and he is in B.C.

My dealer said their RS allocation is sold BUT the next batch I would be included.

There is a chance I may have to pass on the allocation as I am planning to build a house. Build a house or buy a car? My wife will kill me.

You can live in a car, but you can't drive a house.

+1

Perhaps I'll drop Melissa a note to see what she thinks I can pull off, as well.

LOL!! Even my wife was laughing after reading this. But then again she likes cars enough to have joined me for a ride this evening in the GT3!

You should pass along that allocation to someone who doesn't have a wife.

The best advice I can give you was what someone very wise gave to me. Building a house is the #1 way to end up in a divorce. So skip building a house and buy the car anyway. You might end up in the same place, but with a car you love instead of a half finished house you're trying to split.

^^ This.
Everything at home is 20 years old and breaking for the 3rd time.
I just keep buying Porsches, way less stress than sitting in a mess for 6 months remodeling or moving

The above is so true. Building a home and going through the whole process is very stressful on a marriage.

I'm an Architect, and this topic often comes up in the very first meetings I have with clients. Many of them refer to me as their Architect/Marriage counselor as I have gotten quite adept at reading "situations" before they escalate.

Definitely discuss this with your wife before you start.
