I got my allocation. PTS request is delaying build date confirmation but will be worth it

I think.....

I have learned that lesson.

Assuming I get an allocation, when would you let them have your GT3? Is it worth more now than in Sept/Oct?

"Paint to Sample is planned to be available for the MY2016 GT3 RS. We anticipate it will be available for only a limited number of units and in a limited amount of colors. At this time, we do not have an official release date. If you have a client in line for one of your dealer's GT3 RS allocation(s), and he/she is requesting a particular Paint to Sample color, please forwarded the client name, color choice and commission number to be added to the waitlist. For the requested Paint to Sample color, please only choose a currently approved 911 Paint to Sample color. It is not guaranteed that all of the 911 Paint to Sample colors on this list will be approved for the GT3RS."
RSR- Thanks for posting this info.

Is there a danger of submitting a PTS request, being put on the waitlist at unknown spot, then not actually allocated one at end of this process and leaving PTS orderer with no RS at all?

I have wondered this, too. Not just with RS but in general.

I'm hedging my bets....I got a 918 buyer to build their car to my normal specs (white/blk wPCCB & a few other yellow bits) with an August/Sept delivery. They will keep the mandatory time by PCNA, then sell to me at MSRP. Also, I'm on several dealers wait list to potentially order a PTS car. So, worst case scenario....I get a car that is my back-up build. Best case scenario....I get a Voodoo Blue RS! Win...Win

My September slot is V200 in Ultraviolet at the moment, while my commission number, name and color request are on the PTS request list with Porsche Exclusive.

My build locks during June, so in June I need to make a call if I let it lock with UV or push it out further. The risk at the moment is my slot gets pulled forward and I end up with a car in UV rather than PTS.
