Oh, I should add, to get attention!

Not really, but it seems to come with the territory anyway. This seems as good a place as any to share this little story. I was coming home today in stop and go traffic and I notice this pickup is coming up right on my bumper and then backing off. This happens a couple of times and I'm ready to give the driver the universal "get off my ***" hand signal when I notice that he is holding up a cell phone and the flash is going off. There's a little kid in the passenger seat pointing excitedly and when he's through taking photos the Dad hands the kid the phone.

The thing is, I took a 100 mile round trip today and it was the THIRD time I saw someone in another car pacing me and taking a cell phone picture. Some here may not beleive the car is all that special, but my experience has been that the general public seems to think so.

Sorry to digress.....

My family lived in Germany for a bit when I was a little kid, and I have always wanted a 911. I ordered my first, a C2S, in June. Then I happened upon a GT3...a beauty! I didn't give it much thought b/c I thought it would be way out of my price range. A few weeks later I went online to check the price. I couldn't believe how great a deal it was, compared to the C2S. I canceled it immediately and eventually got a GT3 allocation. Can't wait to get it, expected delivery Dec 26, hoping it comes before Xmas!

Because my 2010 was so awesome and the 991 is just awesomer-

but also because it is a better dual purpose machine than the .2- no plans to go crazy with mods on this one so it stays dual purpose.

I like to mix it up. Merc GL550 for kid's tennis tournaments and BMW 750 for nice dinner date with wife. Lol.

Yes. That is an avatar pic of my GT3. I'll upload pics of it in action at Fontana Autoclub Speedway once I figure it out. Needless to say, I recorded a faster lap time first track day vs. my race prepped E92M3.....and I was taking it easy with full nannies and sport auto mode. Lol. What a beast!

I am buying it because it is my dream car, the opportunity arose to get one and life is too short. I know it isn't a great financial decision, but it is about the experience. I can't wait for December, even though it will be winter here in the northeast it will be awesome to get the car delivered.
