997.1 GT3 as a stable mate?

Thats a 3.8L engine package! Actually if you can find a 993 thats had a 3.8 engine upgrade even better. Bear in mind Rothsport can build you a 400 bhp 3.9L road engine for your 993 (but it will cost you...). The factory 3.8L doesnt give that much more power (but does give some more torque). If you were to buy the factory upgrade kit plus labour to unstall youd probably better go to Steve Wiener at Rennsport Systems and get his 3.6 upgrade which can give you 340bhp and tonnes of torque IMO...

Wow looks like Rennsport Systems is taking the best of the 993 RS with their own improvements at a much better cost. Thanks my friend great ideas, now if I could only find a 993 with sunroof delete....

Yes all good points and very true, I can't argue with TSC and that's why I haven't pulled the trigger. I was a bit worried about the cup engine mods. I have found a nice 997.1 GT3 for less money with less than 10,000 miles........hard to pass up
What do you think of this Macca? Still cheaper than an 964 RS America

I have always loved the 993 and still have eyes for them.

I think that RS America is beautiful but for what you are contemplating I would pull the trigger on that sub 10k mile .1 car. Trouble free compared to the white car.

How about something a bit older from the for sale section: (no affiliation)

That said, the 997 gt3 series is my favorite 911 to drive. I have not driven the 991 gt3 yet though. If you are going to like the modern features I think the 997 will be a good companion.

You snooze you lose! The 997.1 under 10,000 miles sold in 2-3 days of listing, gives you an idea of the market. I like the vintage stuff just a bit squeamish at the cost vs maintenance, but I guess that is the cost! This caught my eye as something different

But I think if I find a nice 993 or another 997.1 with the right price I am going to pull the trigger.
