My dealer tells me that "new GT3 allocations" will be slotted for dealers at the end of this year.

Whether those allocations are for MY2015, or perhaps MY2016 (a 991.2 GT3 perhaps) is anyone's guess.

Please don't shoot me, and tell me how wrong I am, that's just what I've been told.

My dealer told me that "regular and not make-up 2014 allocations" may start in November but no guarantee. In September they will start making 2015 GT3's just for the cancelled 2014 ones.

Well, few weeks ago I send an email to PCNA to ask about alloc for 2015, they told me it won't be released to dealer until November.

Sound pretty consistent. My Dealer told me the same.

They have a line for them. These dealere could make $10,000-$20,000 off the 2015 allocations if they were inclined to do so

With a true order dealers don't hike up the price but only when a customer walks away from an order.

Actually there are dealers that refuse to order at MSRP and either order at over MSRP or just order as inventory and try to sell over MSRP. It is not a given that you can go to a dealer and order one at MSRP even if there was no one on the waiting list.

They told me that point blank. A very large dealer.

My Dealer will not sell new above MSRP. They believe that is just a short term way to think. Now, if they had a used one or a car flipped back they would consider but if you want long term repetitive clients you need to always be thinking long term profits over short term gains

It's certainly going to be interesting to see how many allocations become available. My dealer had said that Porsche was going to try to make enough GT3s to meet demand (people with deposits), but I'm a little skeptical. I was 7th on my dealer's list last time I checked, and I'm not so sure they'll get that many mid-2015 allocations. It's also uncertain if there will be a 2016. Given the minimal change in the refreshed 991s being photographed, I wonder if they couldn't just keep making the GT3 through the entire cycle. It seems it's in their best interest, as competition is heating up from Mercedes, Chevy, McLaren, and possibly Acura. When I'm looking for a new track car early next year to replace my 991S, if I can't get my hands on a GT3, I'll be forced to look elsewhere.

Those are the dealers on my black list.

And if people would stop throwing away their money, they'd lose the ability to do this.

Like you, I am in the Bay Area, and 6th on the list, and I was told it would be at least 1 yr (MY16), so yeah, might need to look elsewhere. I am told waitlist for RS is opening

I cant speak for NA allocations but I can tell your for ROW allocations there have been none opened up beyond the Sept/October production run which was already scheduled in place (and now largely taken up with 2014 diverted orders I suspect).

It is quite feasible (although I concur seemingly unlikely as it makes little commercial sense) that PAG may not run production of the 991 GT3 beyond November. Its possible the 991 GT3RS could take over?

I was told just a couple of weeks earlier that my Q3 allocation could get pushed out to Q4 or Q1 '15 because of the engine issue. So, it sounds like the issue with the '14s have caused a delay of at least three months for the '15s. it would be interesting to know what the production numbers will look like in '15.
I had my 2014 cancelled by Porche because engine issues and now my 2015 is scheduled to be built in September with a November 14thdelivery date.
Dealer got 3 GT3 2014 allocated. They got one 2014 which was just delivered with a new replacement engine two weeks ago. The other mine included was moved to 2015 by Porsche.

When I put a deposit down a couple months ago, the dealer had 6 on the GT3 list and 12 on the RS list. It's baffling why Porsche leaves so much money on the table. They aren't Ferrari. The goal of Porsche should be to sell as many cars as possible.

They might not be leaving money on the table if they can fill the build slots with cars that produce more profit. They are the most profitable auto maker for a reason. There's a method to the madness.
