Default Info. Re: New 2015 Allocations

I'd kind of like to get a handle on this to figure out when I might get a car! I'm 5th on my dealer's list to get a 2015 allocation. Have theses new pure 2015 allocations started to come out yet? (Not talking about converted 2014 allocations) If not yet, any estimate of when? Is there any consensus on whether there will be fewer pure 2015 allocations because of the 2014s that were converted to 2015s? Thx!

My understanding is that some MY2015s have already been ordered from certain U.S. dealerships, whereas other dealers have not yet been informed of their allocations.

I have heard no "true" 2015 allocations have been announced and may still not be for a couple more months. And there will be less 2015 allocations available because the converted 2014/15 ate up some of those allocations

My dealer 6th largest in the US did receive one 2015 allocation. Not sure how many more he will get though I suspect he will get more at some point.

Interesting - I wonder how many 2014s they originally got? Also - I wonder what production date/slot they got for that (1) allocation because that would say a lot. Is it an actual 2015 build date?

The reason I am asking is some dealers are twisting the story a little bit and telling people they have a 2015 allocation when it was really a 2014 that was reclassified. Not that it would make a difference but it just helps their story

It is a 2015 model. Not sure about the build date. My impression is 2015 GT3s' will be hard to come by. Many of the 2014s' were moved to 2015s and given to 2014 wait listers.

2nd hand info: a new allocation with spring 2015 ED was recently obtained (larger Canadian dealer). So can't confirm, but maybe these are starting to come up now.

^That would make sense for a new 2015 allocation.

Still waiting to hear about allocations from my dealer. Anybody know how many cars for 14/15 production is planned? For the 997.2 there were 658 imported. My previous car was built 11/10 and I took deliver early 1/11.

Nothing major. A couple of new paint choices. Sports Chrono has more functions but went up $1450 in price. Leather Pkg went up $160. Maybe another couple of options went up a liitle bit. Base price of car stayed the same.

I received the commission number for my MY2015 allocation at the end of last week. I believe some other rennlisters received theirs as well. My build locks on 9/05 and will be in dealer inventory on 11/28. I got lucky! I was told just a couple of weeks earlier that my Q3 allocation could get pushed out to Q4 or Q1 '15 because of the engine issue. So, it sounds like the issue with the '14s have caused a delay of at least three months for the '15s. it would be interesting to know what the production numbers will look like in '15.

Dumb question. If MY2015 allocations aren't being received till Spring, isn't the refresh coming in MY2016 which is fall of 2015?

Have Porsche actually ever stated how many GT3's they will build?
