Just got good news from Andrea regarding price issues from 2014 to 2015.
Here's her email:

We were just advised that any features that were on the original MY2014
build will not be charged extra on the MY2015. A notification is being
sent to all dealers advising that the cost will remain the same. You will
only be charged extra for any new features that are added.

Thank you,

Andrea Arauz

Subject: Chrono clock price issue

Hi Andrea,
Wondering if your boss has had any thoughts on our dilemma?
I hope so. And I hope they are good. Let me know.

I wonder if they count the lap timer feature on the $1,850 Sport Chrono as a justifiable reason for the increase and as something that cannot be unbundled from the clock.

My bet is yes--and one reason for their very specific language about being charged extra for new "features" only.

Well when I talked to her she indicated that I will only be charged for items not previously on my build, i.e. red stitching that I added later.

Make sure you get clarification from Porsche on the specific Sport Chrono matter. Most options continued with the same code and description, but with a small price increase or none at all.

The 2014 Sport Chrono Clock was option code 640 and was $400. That option code and that option, it could be argued, are no longer available in 2015.

The 2015 option is code 643 and is referred to as Sport Chrono Package incl. Porsche Track Precision App. It could be argued that this was not on your 2014 build and is a new addition.

Just be sure they interpret this new policy decision to your benefit.

Why can't Porsche include that lap timer for those of us in Car B who ordered sport chrono? Is it just a software upgrade? Sport chrono should be the same for all 2014 who have it.

Nick, you are asking a very logical question. Porsche does not understand "logic". It is beyond their mental capacity as they have proven all along.

My dealer told me when my 2014 was cancelled and we reordered a 2015 that he was not going to charge me the 2015 price increases on any of the options I chose on my 2014 build. That includes the Sport Chrono Package incl. Porsche Track Precision App was on 2014 - $400 it's now on the 2015- $1,850 getting that for $400. Savings $1,450. Same goes for the red stitching was $3,320 now $3,480. savings $160. Red seat belts was $340 now $350. Savings $10. Total savings $1,620.

That's great! Makes perfect sense for them to honor the pricing--glad to see them do so.

Spoke to Andrea again today. She reiterated that no price increase on any option that was previously on my 2014 build. If I added something new for my rebuild, I would be subject to the price increase if it was not previously on my 2014 build.

And to quote Led Zeppelin: "And if you say to me tomorrow, oh what fun it all would be. Then what's to stop us, pretty baby. But What Is And What Should Never Be"

I am still waiting for what fun it all would be!

OK. This not my year to by anything German! Purchased a new 2014 BMW 1200 RT motorcycle. One month old. BMW issued a world wide recall and told everyone to stop riding it to replace rear shock. They won't have shocks to dealers until August. Where is the Hitler video I need to get it updated!

I just received an email from PCNA that states that I should expect delivery of my GT3 to my dealer by 10/24/14.

Is yours a 2014? When was the delivery supposed to have been prior to Stop Sale?

Phil, not sure why yours is to arrive about 6 weeks after mine when we had the same original date and our cars were at v270 on the same date of the stop sale. My guess mine will actually arrive in late October with yours.

As you know I am very skeptical in whatever Porsche says.
