My original delivery date was yesterday. Missed my call from PCNA, as I was skiing this past week in Vail. It was great to not think about all this for a week

My car was V270 on 2/14 just like clocked. I'll let you know what I hear.

Default Got the Call

Ian called me yesterday. As of the call, my car is still v260, originally scheduled for May 16'th delivery, it will (obviously) now be delayed. I have a VIN (with an 'E'), 2014, and the latest info still does not give a delivery date. The BEST GUESS, from Ian and my dealer, based on the info from PAG, is late June/early July delivery now. My order/allocation has neither been cancelled nor pushed to model year 2015 with delivery September/October. At this point, I have no reason to doubt that as soon as the replacement engines start production, I will have an updated completion and delivery date. My (and Ian's) best guess: Late June. Honestly, I'm ok with whenever they deliver the car. I still want it. I was also offered the 1 year warranty extension and $2000 per month for every month it is delayed from May 16'th.

Anyone else still waiting on a call from PCNA?

^ I haven't gotten call yet
Not sure how they are prioritizing these calls - RUF RS above indicates he had a May 16 delivery - i was May 2 originally and currently showing v260 and June 6 delivery in the system / haven't been bumped to 2015.

Ian is a nice guy and I don't envy his role, but remember he has only been working for Porsche since March. How well informed he is, is anybody's guess.

Nothing against Ian, but come on Porsche you put someone in charge to work with your best customers on this cluster F who has only been with Porsche since March?

The facts keep on adding up to just what Porsche thinks of us.

Imagine if we were all soccer moms? They would be kissing our As.......

I am not sure any of us can do any better. He is dealing with high strung successful people who do not like taking no for an answer. He should be given credit for maintaining his composure under a barrage of unanswerable questions.

I certainly would not want to be in his position now.

Nick, with all due respect you missed my point. I would not want Ian's job. It is not easy at all.

My point is this, if Porsche would just understand the people that ordered these cars are one of the best customers and customers that don't NEED a $150k car they WANT it. Yes we are a bunch of high strung people so thus why did Porsche put a new person as the one to speak with all of us?

if this happened in my business I would not put a new staff person in charge of talking with my "upset" customers. Just think about it.

Nick is this something you would do if your company had a bad situation?

Again no disrespect to Ian I think he is doing the best he can with the cards he has been dealt.

Maybe I expressed myself poorly but I really don't see how anyone other than the CEO of Porsche can satisfy all that we are demanding. Even the CEO of PCNA has little or no say regarding the final packages. PAG is calling the shots.

To PCNA's credit instead of a stream of emails and letters they are providing face to face (figuratively speaking) communications to each one of us. They all have been professional in dealing with us. If we had a request they elevated the request for a response. More often than the answer is not what we want to hear but there was an effort to communicate AND HELP!

My belief throughout this ordeal is PCNA has been going to bat for the NA customers. They have been making the case on our behalf. If it was left to PAG we probably would have received less in compensation. That is why I am sensitive to beating up on these callers who are only trying to do a job under the most unfavorable conditions imaginable.

Ian and the rest of them are doing a fine job. Our problem is not with PCNA staff but with PAG. We should not forget that.

Ian handles himself really well. If he was hired recently, I'm thinking he was hired for this exact purpose.

My 14 turbo made walking away from my GT3 easier. Mine was a '14. Nothing they offered made sense to me but I have several other toys to play with. I was not up for getting a 1 year old car. I can probably get a '15 allocation but I don't want it anymore.

I think the biggest problem for Ian and the upper management at PCNA is that they made commitments to me and others, then after the last email we received they had to rescind those commitments as directed from PAG. They were to reimburse me for the full body clear bra, tinting and the ClearPlex for the windshield- that's $7,800. This was to be a credit towards a MY2015. PAG could care less about us and they've made it very clear we don't matter. I like Ian but it's unfortunate that PAG puts him in a place where all he can do is listen. Hmm, what to do next? PM Macca?
