nothing to see here. move along.
the bolts should not be a big deal, but since its a vital part of the Engines lube system, its prob a good idea not to track until its fixed.

My delarship does not know if it affects cars on the street as well and this is the info they received:
There may be a "quality issue that potentially exists with the engines of the subject vehicles" "Additional details are not readily available".

Must be a quote given by Porsche, because the words are literally the same as SamFromTX stated.... provided by my dealer.
Effective immediately and until further notice, delivery of any new 2014 911 GT3 units must be suspended. This Stop Sale action is being taken in order to investigate a quality issue that potentially exists with the engine of the subject vehicles. While additional details are not readily available, please know this matter is of the highest priority in the Porsche organization.

As per JB991's post above, "any undelivered GT3's." Mine completed production 1/14/14 and was offloaded at the Port of Houston yesterday and apparently is included since the only info my dealer has at this time is that which JB991 quoted.

Does anyone know if Saeed's engine was sent to Porsche? If I recall his engine failed and was to be sent to Porsche. Most of us attributed it to engine modifications.
Possibly Porsche found something after receiving and inspecting the engine.

Interesting point. He mentioned that he got it back and that he would post soon.

This blows.
Based on the official statement by PAG, a lot is left unsaid. But it certainly doesn't read like a minor 'exhaust bolt' or other external, easily fixed part. Reads more like something serious.
Why do a 'stop sale' if it were some easily fixed and accessible sump bolts? Also, the statement clearly spells out 'investigate', as in, they don't know what exactly is wrong yet.

Any notices/info for the owners of cars that have already been delivered? What are the dealers saying when asked?

Is it possible that they just want to rectify the issue before the cars are delivered instead of delivering and having an immediate recall / service campaign?
I can't imagine what it could be--such that currently produced cars are affected, but ones delivered in recent weeks are not...
