I got very little out of this review, no new insight. Track conditions weren't ideal, same silly sideways driving as before (though it does require skill), and he still wishes it had manual. Yes, he loved the car, but he loved the other cars too ... perhaps he loves cars in general?

That's not surprising, given that the other two are heavier and not as focused on being sports cars. In that group, I'd take the GT3 too, without having driven any of them (I have a C63, but it's not a BS). I'd like to see a comparison of the GT3 with the Z06, 458, etc. Better yet, I'd like to see a comparison between the 991 GT3 and the 997.2 RS.

Waste of time review but enjoyable and Harris is usually dead on with his perspective and feedback. Agree with 911Dev that it'd be great for Chris to review the 991 against the 997.2 GT3 & RS & 4.0 all together. That'd burst the cost balloon and halo the 997 has once and for all.

...and why do people still argue the engine is in the wrong place??

Also, glad it hear that the RWS is not noticeable.
and kudos to CH, I'm sure he'll be the first journalist to get the call to review the upcoming RS

To clarify Mike, I highly respect CH and he has been fantastic over the years with his reviews... I just find some of his comments on the new engine over the old engine unusual considering the characteristics he references are externally influenced as I explain. I'm sure he understands the effects of gearing...
Cars are not just the parts standalone, is how the whole package works together, and thats why the only real opinions and experience that count for me are of people that actually drive the thing, and I value the most the opinions of dirvers that enjoy similar characteristics of what I appreciate too. Like CH, he enjoys going for a good laptime at the track and can really race, but also likes a car thats playful and "driftable".
He has never disappointed on his reviews as I have come to similar conclusions on the cars he has driven. He does have a strong bias for Porsche, as PAG has been extremely generous to him (remember the "street" 997 GT3RS at the N24 a few years ago?), unlike Ferrari who officially banned him for over a year. Nevertheless, he has been very positive on his Ferrari reviews too, like the F12s in which I concur with him that it is the best car ever.
