Porsche specs torque at 443 ft lbs. Need 3/4 inch drive.
Looking at ordering this one from Mcmaster that goes to 600 ft lbas.

@$374. I like that it breaks down for compact storage. 48 inches length assembled. I'm also getting a breaker bar for removal.
Any other recommendations?

Yes. I just bought this one for $328. Its highly recommended by the other GT3 users. Comes in a case and breaks down. Better yet most guys are using it as a break bar - you can remove the end handle with the guage and unless you are a lightweight will have no problem in breaking the nut loose. Its 600lbft rated (more of course without the guage).

if your using the Precision Instruments wrench as breaker bar you'll need a length of pipe to slide over the wrench and provide the leverage for the section removed.
If you're running ceramics it's not a bad idea to get a hub alignment tool: http://www.3rauto.com/parts/3r_parts/
If you're changing wheels solo you'll need a brake pedal depressor or similar.
Don't forget your grease and make sure the safety nut is engaged (there's a tool but it's easy enough without it).
That just leaves a decent rolling floor jack and you're all set.

I have one of those two. Macca and Nizer, why do you need to remove the end handle to use it as a breaker bar? I was hoping to set the torque to max (600) and use it as a breaker bar.

Not really. Porsche makes a retractable breaker bar but like everything else Porsche you will pay: http://www.suncoastparts.com/product...97tt2_WheelsCL

Thanks for the input. I just ordered the one from Amazon. Much cheaper than the Porsche's retractable one. I'll never attempt to replace it myself away from home so portability not an issue for me. I just need the ability to swap tires and tighten at home.

That Tooltopia one looks like it could be the exact same unit that Mcmaster has, only $45 cheaper. Both rate at 200-600 lbs.
Mcmaster does spec it at 4% cw and ccw. Tooltopia specs only cw.

The problem with most 3/4 inch Torque wrenches and Breaker Bars for the Centerlock Wheels on Porsche GT3 and Turbos is that they will not fit into the front trunk compartment and are usually left home. An alternate solution is to use Geared Torque Multiplying Tools which are available with 3/4” output socket providing up to 1,000 Ft. Lbs of Torque. Most are under 18 inches long and easily carried in the front trunk. They can be used alone as a Breaker Bar needing only 1/4 of the applied Torque, or can also be used in conjunction with a standard 1/2 inch Drive Torque Wrench used for 5 lug wheels. Not as accurate a way to measure Torque as the larger higher-precision Torque Wrenches, but good enough to change a tire and get you home or finish out a track day. The Best Wrench is always the one you have with you when it is needed. Prices range from $250 to $350.

The Porsche retractable breaker bar was designed around the gen1 torque specification, and doesn't fare too well with the current (increased) torque.
Regarding the torque wrench, I used the precision instruments one on my 997.2 GT3 without any issue. I heard they are the OE supplier for Snap On, but don't quote me. It's a quality product.
