There are apparently 173 cars that fall within the range of the WD69 campaign. The cooling system is "stress tested" to determine if the thermostat is opening properly. My car had shown no signs of over-heating and I don't know if it passed the test or not.

Regardless, it's being replaced for which I'm thankful as I wouldn't want to be worrying that a thermostat that passed now might fail later and leave me stranded or cause engine damage. AFAIK, it was not tested prior to my bringing the car in for the window issue either at the port or during the dealer PDI. Supposedly authorization was required from Atlanta to release the thermostat because the parts are being set aside specifically for use in for the GT3 campaign and PCNA was shorthanded due to the freak Atlanta ice storm so there has been a delay.

Speaking of the window, I have zero concern about it being something specific to the GT3. It could have happened to any 991. Whatever; just want my baby back!

Hmmmm. Nobody else has creep.

Today I experimented..... At idle pull both paddles to force neutral, no creep. release paddles, creep.

I'm calling tomorrow.

Hi Serge, I still have the 996 and bunch of other cars. Yes, the GT3 is a lot more car. I'm anxious to get it on the track.

So, foot on the brake to shift from P to D or R, release brake and it begins to creep? That's not right. Let us know what you find out....

Just found out from my dealer that my GT3 does not require WD69, but will however need WE09 "Fastening screws for oil-water heat exchanger".

Anyone else know about this?!

Seems the car only creeps about 3 inches, then stops. I can repeat this by shifting into neutral, then back to drive repeatedly. Each time it creeps just that little bit, then stops.

Had a discussion with the sales rep who suggested this was normal. he might be right.

Anyone else? Try that experiment on smooth level ground, in and out of drive. Does it creep just a few inches?

The non-GT3 991s will continue to creep, like an automatic.

Chuck. You never mentioned it only moved 3" then stopped. We were all thinking you car crept. Maybe its the inertia. Frankly nothing to worry about. Actually makes that final bit of parking easier for you. I dont have mine to check (its on a transporter in teh ocean) and to be honest I probably would forget to notice anyway - but Mike may beable to experiment with his for you....

Chuck, I don't have any creep at all. I wonder if the clutch software needs to be tweaked as it sounds like it takes a second or two to disngage.

Agreed. But in fairness to the rep he asked if it was just a few inches or continued, so he was familiar with the behavior.

Perhaps your clutch packs are on the upper end of the thickness range and need to wear-in. Maybe you're due for a few hard launches? At least it would be a joyful experiment.
