People still play CD's? Time for you to put all of your cd's onto your smartphone so you don't need a 6 disk changer or to lug around all those cd's. No more missing or broken cases or putting the disc into the wrong case. This is one thing that's awesome about technology.

The appeal of the RS may, IMO, be partly in its presence and styling but for me primarily performance. I really don't give a s**t how PCCBs compare in looks relative to steel brakes/rotors.

Interesting how AP said it's 493 bhp, but in the real world it's a good deal more. Maybe 500, 510 bhp. I already thought it was rated at 500 and possibly more from that starting point?

Seriously ; if I didn't buy any upgrades to the standard stereo system what would I get ? I figure the car ought to have a radio / CD of some sort , but beyond that don't really care . All of the other clock / NAV , phone options escapes me in a car like this .

^ u have a similar screen but perhaps smaller than the navi PCM thing. you will have CD, radio. you MAY have aux input (this part i am not sure). but there will be a radio for sorts. likely only front speakers but good enough for npr while your ears bleed out as you drive toward the ER.

i listen to fairly loud music in car. when you crank it up (standard or the $7xx upgraded one), they all sound really bad, so i dont use them much. i think having the radio could be fine. my issue is the PCM. 5 years later, if i punch in a nearby starbux and pcm is outdate, little things like that makes me incredibly upset. strange but that causes me more aggravation then when my citibank tanked in 08. YMMV

but for $695, you get upgraded radio AND PCM/navi is free....

i have philosophical issues with having pcm but economically it's a no brainer.... maybe i just need a lobotomy

No thanks - I'm morally opposed to being told where to go . I've also vowed to never own a cell phone so all the interface stuff is a mystery to me . If these cars came with a stripped out interior I'd go the no radio , no ac route , but given how they're set up it seems like there isn't much reason to leave them out .
