you need an updated PTS info sheet from your dealer to confirm this; it was certainly under feasibility check previously.

Eduardo should know the definitive answer to this...

Yes, 'Gulf Blue' is on the last known PTS list from PCNA, approved for the 991 & 981. It is code 328. See attached link below the two photos below.

I only have photos of a factory original paint 'Gulf Blue' 911. It is the '73 coupe on the left of my '70 'Crystal Blue' Targa at the 2009 PCA Parade in Colorado.

I have a question of all of you that are considering PTS on a 991 gt3. Conekilr informed the forum that the PTS window for the 991 gt3 would open in April of 2014. See post #7 at link thread:

https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3/...-code-w25.html

According to that post, April 2014 would be the first date in which one could order a 991 gt3 in a PTS color. Others have told me that the PTS deadline for the 991 gt3 already expired as of Dec 20th, 2013. Can someone in the 'know' verify the reality of PTS on the 991 gt3? Does anyone has a confirmed order from PAG/PCNA in PTS for a 991 gt3 yet? Thanks.

Saludos,
Eduardo

although I'm seriously considering gulf blue, I'm afraid that they it won't look as cool as it looks on the older porsches. What are your thoughts?

Eduardo et al,

I am doing PTS but I'm in Canada so I don't know if the PTS situation is the same in the US but I suspect it is or very close. Someone actually doing PTS in the US would be the best source, but here's my situation:

I requested to do PTS in early October and got official approval from PAG around December 10th at which time I was assigned a build date for April 04, 2014 with a vehicle fixed date of March 24th 2014.
On January 2nd 2014, I got a phone call from my SA informing me that my order status was changed and was now being shown as "LOCKED, materials ordered" which to say the least was a BIG surprise to me as only a few weeks earlier, I thought I had until March 24th. to make changes !! When we consulted with the Sales Manager who is very familiar with doing PTS, he told us that what it meant was the PTS selection was LOCKED but not the rest of the order/options and if I wanted to make any other changes this would have to be done by Porsche Canada as the dealer was no longer to allowed to do so on the system.
Based on this it would appear that the PTS window may be closed but if anyone is looking to do PTS, they should be talking to their dealership NOW to see if the PTS window is open or closed.

Good luck to all thinking of doing PTS. I hope it's not too late for you !!

Why is it such a GD mystery?.. Either they want people gifting them money for regular car colors, or they don't. Just take the car to a wrap shop and have them make you exactly what you like.. This process seems ridiculous.
