I too have been told the window for PTS on the GT3 closed late December 2013. I do not know when it might reopen.

Yep, we missed it.

Formal response from Porsche Exclusive:

Thank you for your email. Yes, your dealer is correct that we have already passed the deadline to put Paint to Sample on any orders. I don't expect that to open up again until late Spring for MY2015 cars.
I'm sorry I don't have better news for you.
Kind Regards,

Totally agree on this.

I also don't understand why Porsche makes it such a PITA to do PTS. I mean, offer it or don't offer it but either way make it simple....

its a mystery to me, something to do with production cycles and optimization in the paint shop would be my guess... probably why PTS is not offered immediately upon commencement of a new model ... just a guess

Sorry to here that for those who were thinking about PTS.

I requested PTS before it showed up in the Canadian Configurator and my SA was good enough to put in my request to Porsche Canada right away.

My recommendation for those wanting to do PTS in the future, get on it and stay on top of it.

Good Luck

Does this imply that there will definitely be a 2015 GT3 or does it refer to all 911's?

I have been told by the Sales Manager at my dealership that they were told there will be a 2015 run.

I also heard there will be a 2015 run of the GT3 but I also believe that its true that the PTS "window" is shared across models on the (same) zuffenhausen line since they share the paintshop

Strange we haven't seen any PTS deliveries yet other than Graham Rahal's (or is that sapphire blue? i forget) but I guess we'll see them start coming in soon.

Really excited to see some PTS GT3's.

Default PTS gt3 in MY2014

Graham's car is regular metallic option 'Sapphire Blue' (see photo). It is not unusual for Porsche to bunch up PTS cars for a batch run through its paint shop. If the deadline for MY2014 PTS 991 gt3's was Dec 20th, 2013, we could see them process these PTS cars in the next few months. Like you, I have yet to see a PTS 991 gt3 delivered in Europe or here. But that is not surprising at this early date given their PTS modus operandi.

What I find interesting, however, is that I have not heard of too many Rennlisters here in this forum actually ordering a PTS gt3! Conekilr in Canada is one. But who else here in this forum has an allocation for a gt3 which has been confirmed & is scheduled to be done in Paint-to-Sample in MY2014?

Saludos,
Eduardo
