There is bulletin from Porsche for a major recall for all red GT3's and the reason the Lyra Leader shows its headed back to Germany.

The bulletin also says the white cars were not effected and they produce much more HP than other colors specially compared to red.

Mike, we will keep you entertained until your car gets here

Cause they save the over-spec motors for Friday production.

Hi, Mike.
Looks like it is heading to and is very close to Long Beach. Should be there shortly. Wonder if that is the unloading spot? Perhaps it is dropping some cars at Long Beach and others at San Diego? So odd. Not sure how it works.

Strange.. Destination says US PHU in 7 hours.... Taking a break, off to bed. Let me know if it tries to sneak off to Hawaii before dropping the cars of.

I knew BMWs get delivered there but didn't know Porsches do...guess we'll find out soon enough. Just weird that it said San Diego on our status report...

It looks like it's hovering Long Beach. Dang.. If I was in LA and had nothing else to do I might drive up to Palos Verdes and get a good look at it.

Interesting.. My sheet says Entry port San Diego . Planned 1/17, Expected 1/03.. Then Exit San Diego, AND Dealer Inventory 1/17. Anyone have a dealer inventory on this of before 1/17? -- This is getting too OCD.

Ok, I admit it...that was a BMW. Thought perhaps same logistics. Best of luck with delivery.

Jeff, looks like Lyra Leader bypassed Long Beach. Been googling a bunch of stuff and found a reference to Port Hueneme in Ventura County as a West Coast disembarking point for Porsche. Then I saw Hoopumper's post. The destination for the ship on the vessel tracking website is US PHU (Port HUeneme?) so Hoopumpers reference makes sense. Going to bed...by morning I expect the damn thing to be docked somewhere!

Edit: Confirmed.....the vessel schedule for the Port of Hueneme shows the arrival of the Lyra Leader on Jan 2.

My thoughts exactly - I don't know anything about how ports work but Ia assume it would not drop some cars off at Port Hueneme and then others back at San Diego on its way back? Would not make any sense - just confused why San Diego is listed on our production schedule. Guess we'll know soon enough!!
