What % of Net Wealth would a 991 GT3 purchase represent?
#47
Thanks Bro!! It really doesn't matter to me how much you care about my squandering ways on a GT3. Since you started this thread...you seem to be interested other's personal wealth. Not sure why?

Looks like I'm not alone...
Naturally Im interested on how other people spend their money relative to my own habits. Who wouldn't be?
Im actually very encouraged there are so many people doing so well financially out there. After all the fiscal doom and gloom its nice to know a good majority of thee voters can afford the new 991 GT3 without n anyway threatening their financial security...Bravo!

I am encouraged with the economy also. But I think the Gt3 would sell all allocations now or 3 years ago when the economic picture was more gloomy. Not sure your poll is an accurate gage of the economy.

Respectfully, this is totally backwards. In a world of 7 billion people, there'll always be people with money, no matter how the population is doing overall, and places like a GT3 forum, Porsche dealership in Beverly Hills, upscale neighborhood, etc. are where people with money will naturally congregate.

Dude. Thats exactly how I thought about this 12 years ago when I joined Rennlist and read threads from guys with multiple cars I coveted and new 996.2 GT3s on order. Your time will come. Its always great to have something to aspire too. Thats how I saw it 12 years ago and thats still how I see it today.
Most people on here that I know and have known for many years on these boards, I know may be comfortable now but they have worked their tots off to get there and they are by now means "rich". Infact very few on here probably are but we do have something in common - 911s!

We call them "21st's" down-under. Traditionally you have to drink a "yard of ale" from a yard long glass beaker especially designed for the purpose. It sold between 2.5 & 3 pints - about 5 cans. The world record is 5 seconds. Most people take 3-5 minutes.

And no, I don't come onto threads to wreck them, I come to discuss, like everyone else. Disagreement comes with the territory, don't take it so personally.
Don't forget that I've praised this car plenty, but that doesn't mean I can't have criticisms of the car and Porsche. Hell, I might still even buy the damn thing!
