No doubt. Just drove the "Final Edition" Lambo 50th anniversary Gallardo LP560-2. 560hp, REAR wheel drive, gated manual. 100 made. 3000lbs. Damn that thing is raw! Not a DD. Tempting, but it does feel old school in comparison to the newer tech making it into cars like the 458 and upcoming GT3.
I bet it was boring...

Curb weight is 3,400lbs, however (based on C&D test of the Balboni Edition, which is basically the same car).

I went this route (although without the 50th Anniversary trim) after confirmation of the PDK-only GT3. Pains me that VWAG got even more money out of me, but it is a fantastic drive for the modern Luddite.

Rather brief stint in it. Had superleggera carbon buckets...stunningly gorgeous and as hard as concrete wrapped in alcantara. Makes the GT2 997 buckets feel like luxury seats (I love the 997 buckets!). Suspension is rock hard. Only adjustable setting on the car is TC on/off. Corners extremely flat. Seating position is great. Gated manual felt better than the R8 to me (not sure why...they are likely very similar mechanically). Clutch was quite light (a little soft IMO) and easy to engage. 8500 RPM limit. Good low end torque. The V10 sounds magnificent...shocker. Steering was stiff and very direct. Porsche steering still wins and feels more organic/honest to me. It was a short drive though and I didn't really get to open it up. The combo of suspension and seats make this a very raw drive, that was immediately apparent. I doubt it would be livable as a DD, and I rather like a firm setup. I will say the anniversary edition is a bit of a steal (for a Lambo) at 206k MSRP, which includes about 40k of extra options at no charge. Not in love with the special metallic white paint, which is the only exterior offered on the limited edition. Also, the weight is actually 3400lbs (not 3000 as I originally read). All in all I thought the car had lots of personality and would be an absolute blast/hand full with TC off.

Uh, ok...you asked for the review. Of perhaps more direct Porsche relevance, I'm going to skip the lambo and wait for the 991 GT3. No manual, but better numbers all around.
