Im afraid you could well be right Mike. Turbo or hybrid - to me that's a real possibility in the not so distant future...

This may sound crazy in the context of a GT3; I'm just saying don't be shocked to see this across the model lines, including Gen 2 of the Carreras and GTs. My belief is that the window is slowly closing on NA performance cars which is one reason I've jumped into this market when I did. I hope I'm wrong and this happens later rather than sooner, but it will happen.
That's why I resist letting the C63 go. 6.2-liter V8, NA, 451 hp, 443 ft-lb with punch starting down low. And appropriatey raucous sounds to go with it! Gas mileage sucks if you put your foot into it, but gotta pay to play.

Same why I keep my e39 M5 but one extra bonus = MANUAL TRANSMISSION!! Not that BMW SMG of the era was worth remembering. Only 400 bhp and 368lbft torque tho....

Oh come on, you can tell her that it's possible to beat 99% of DE people on mostpost in 4th gear with one upshift and one downshift per lap (back straight).

This is simply incredible if apples to apples tires were used.

This number means, at least on a track, that the 991GT3 is literally incredible.

What is that AP said? "Just shut up and drive"?

Indeed.

They aren't going to be able to make enough of these cars to satisfy demand.

My wife shares that limitation. I encourage her to drive anything we own. While she is as much a motorhead as myself and has tried, she struggles with the clutch. She refuses to drive outside our subdivision terrified she'll stall at a light or have to perform a hill start on one of the bridges.

She has enjoyed her E63 AMG though.

Even if the tires aren't the same, it's still impressive. The Dunlop tires are good, but still a little below something like an NT01 or R888 at their best.

You're probably right about demand for the car far outstripping supply. But hopefully that'll put some 997 GT3s on the market at a good price.

Same here, she does not even want to try the track.

What a great review. I cannot wait to see what Porsche does with the RS if the GT3 is this good. As for colors, I'd take red over white without a second thought.

there are a couple of moments (2) that excite me in the video, when he let's the car rev nearly all the way into the top-end and it took on a hard, mechanical edge. that sounded very nice i must admit.

I guess I am lucky then, mine loves it though imo not very fast. As she said to me she would clean some clocks at the track if she didn't have to worry about shifting.
