****. would like to get this squared away so I can set my expectations and travel plans (if feasible) to DE.
Given the delta in allocations b/t ROW and the US, I smell an excuse. PAG/PCNA could easily do initial allocations based on 2012 numbers then give the balance. IMO the allocations are being held up b/c of a production issue for US cars.
But it's all good; they will come.

Stopped by the Porsche dealer today, confirmed that my name on the list for the first GT3 allocation. No requirement for a deposit until Dealer gets actual allocation.
My understanding is that the GT3's will be shipped to Canadian dealers very early in the new year.
I'll inform the family CFO at a much later date, possibly 2-3 weeks before delivery.

It will be fun getting back into a GT3, no plans to mod/track the 991 since it will mainly a highway cruiser. I just purchased Mobonic's, Cup conversion 997 GT3 so that will take care of my crack/track habit.

Norden didn't say how many GT3's they hope to get, but they have several people very interested and looking to get a build.

My Porsche dealer called me a few days ago to advise he was told by his PCNA Zone Rep that allocations will be made the last week in June so we in the U.S. should know where we stand on GT3 Deliveries within
the next week. As much as I hated waiting, putting a new model into production, especially a model from which so much is expected, is a REALLY BIG deal - so let's be a little less critical of the delay and cut Porsche a little slack. I fully expect it will be well worth the wait.

FWIW, read elsewhere that the 50th anniversary model created production issues related to the GT3 and TT.

My salesman e-mailed me to let me know that he had dinner with his zone rep Saturday night and was told that he'd get his GT3 allocation this week. It seems at least that we're getting a consistent story....

that if a dealer sells a European Delivery car (for which they pay Porsche $4k) they will get an additional allocation of the model sold, incl GT3!
