Default Another new 991.1 GT3 mafia member here...

Its been a long time coming, but I've always wanted the 991.1 GT3 since it came out in 2014 but I was still putting my daughter thru Grad School so I got the 981 GT4 to stay somewhat fiscally conservative and truthfully, I've loved every mile with it, even though it only has 9K miles, it's a Never Sell car.

I've been a 911, 914 and 944 owner since the mid 80's and the brand has been good to me beyond measure. Tried a few M cars, AMG's and currently have an Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio as a DD, but if you cut me I would probably bleed Stuttgart red .

Like most of you on here, I've waited patiently for the bubble to deflate a tad on the GT3 market, but I also didn't want to compromise on my " must-have " specs which are PCCB, PDLS+ and 18 ways as I didn't want both my GT cars to have carbon buckets. I ended up finding a 2014 GR that was previously owned by a member here , sold it on here originally and now that I have it, it's quite apparent that it was beyond loved as it is truly in magnificent , day it was born condition mainly due to a full PPF . https://rennlist.com/forums/vehicle-...uards-red.html

My SA at my local Porsche dealership ran a VMI and gave the thumbs up that it's been Porsche dealer maintained since day 1 . And get this....with 50K miles on the clock, it's on the original E motor boys & girls !!! so my guess is that she was built on one hella good & happy Wednesday in downtown Stuttgart !!! Regardless, the warranty is until late 2024 if need be.

DME is good, no crazy over revs and it drives and goes down the road no different than my GT4 with a fraction of the miles. These truly wear like a good handgun .

It came with a Fabspeed center muffler delete and I have to admit , I had plans to get either a pre-owned Dundon crackpipe or Sharkwerks one but holy hell does this one sound redonk !

Anyways....y'all have seen plenty of these and by now they're probably considered pedestrian , but goodness me, they're an absolute thrill !

Lastly, thanks to Rob & the COG. You guys are legends !

It arrived at midnight on Friday...definitely Ronin vibes when it came off the truck.

Congrats on the purchase! I remember seeing your name often in the 981 GT4 section and trading comments back and fourth in many threads.

I recently made the jump (rather than addition - even though I would love to) to a 991.2 GT3 - you're going to continue to love the traits the GT3 offers over the GT4. They're each special cars with unique characteristics but I must admit I'm more of a GT3 guy than a GT4 guy now that I've had a good bit of seat time in both. As ghastly as this sounds I think the next move is to add a Spyder with the DeMan motor treatment to the mix rather than another GT4.

Keep the pictures coming, drive her in good health my friend.

Thanks brother !!
I ran into Matt Farah from The Smoking Tire at the Audrain Concours in Newport last year and he had mentioned that his ordered Pinkberry Spyder was going straight to DeMan from the port of Rhode Island, but sadly that car is under water now, but apparently he got the replacement and DeMan did the stroker build already.

Even with the limited seat time in mine and previous other 991 GT3's I've had the pleasure of driving, I know I'm definitely a PDK GT3 guy as well , in terms of my personal halo car.

Cheers !

Mike

Nice !
I was an age grouper from 2003 - 2009 , mostly upper middle of the pack in 1/2's and middle of the pack in full's , but mainly doing Ultramarathon's these days as well as Gravel racing. Even though I was a decent swimmer I don't miss putting on a wetsuit at 6am lol.

What do you think of this new group that owns Ironman merging with UTMB and splitting the WC's in both Nice & Kona ? I remember back during the Dave Scott & Mark Allen era, Nice was a big race, but I think the race has lost it's way a little.

Guards red is such an awesome color especially those PCCB yellows which gives it a pop to the whole car. Have the same similar spec and couldn't be happier with mine.

Congrats on your latest addition. You have a great tasteful collection.

Thank you kindly !

I noticed you have an M2 CS. I've really enjoyed driving every iteration of the M2, even the Lci model. Had an M4 a while ago which I thought was ok, but if I decide to add an M once again, it will most likely be an M2 Comp.

Cheers !

the m2 is hands down the best iteration of any M variant currently offered due to its balance chassis and shorter wheelbase. I sold my f80 m3 cs for this f87 m2 cs and never looked back. There was something about the f8x m3/m4 i didn't like and one of it being big. Only thing i miss was the HUD display and the extended leather.
