Wasn't aware Goodyear made the 3R in a Porsche spec. Is it on Tire Rack's website?
the 265/35/19 was showing an availability date of 9/2 about two weeks ago but it's now stating backordered.
The 71RS is probably not what people should be looking at for a track tire if they're chasing lap times. Bridgestone has a Potenza Race coming out that looks a lot like the 3R. The press release says they'll have 13 sizes available in June with absolutely no details as to what those sizes are. And I suspect with supply chain problems being as they are right now that those 13 are probably optimistic.

Cup 2s are a very good balance of grip vs. longevity. We run them in AER endurance racing on a GT4 clubsport and they work very well, the longest race being 14 hours on a single set. There really is no magic tire that lasts a long time and has amazing grip. Michelin slicks are the bomb for about 2 Heat Cycles, Pirellis are more consistent up to about 5 HCs, then Cup 2 Rs or Hoosiers, then Cup2, etc. My old Viper ACR had Kuhmo V720s that literally corded after 2 runs. If you are already getting 10 days out of a tire, that's really really a long time for a car as fast as a GT3.

I estimate that I'm getting about 15 hours out of the Cup 2, so not much different than you. Most of my track days are only 1.5 to 2 hours on track per day.
You guys were right that Supercar 3R is not available in 255/35/20. So I decided to give the Supercar 3 a try, since they're available in the correct sizes, much cheaper than Cup 2, and are reported to last longer than Cup 2. Not happy about going slower than Cup 2, but we'll see how big the difference is.

I'm not certain how big of a difference this is, rear engine cars I decided to stick with tires in the same load rating.

Anyone running 19s tried the Conti ExtremeContact Force? Supposed to be an endurance track tire. Might be great in the Texas heat.

I just got a 991.1 GT3 and am starting to track it.
I got the Apex Racing 19" set and am running 265/35/19 and 325/30/19.
I am running Hoosier R7s.
So far, I love the Hoosiers -- don't love the price.
I may try Cup2s as a comparison.
How far of a performance drop off are the Nankang's AR-1s. Curious about folks' experience?

Last few seasons I went through a few sets of Cup2, but found they didn't last very long and ran into delamination issues. This season I tried both CR-S and AR-1. Both tires are very comparable to Cup2 in grip, but I think Cup2s provide better steering feel, especially at turn-in. I prefer AR-1 over CR-S as they provide more grip, and tire pressures don't skyrocket like CR-S. With AR-1s I'll go out at 27PSI cold and they'll get to about 32PSI for 3-4 hot laps, then peaking at 35PSI if I'm continuing on. However, with CR-S, I spent much more time managing tire pressure; out at 26PSI cold, good for 2-3 hot laps at 32PSI, then they'll just keep building pressure quickly, getting to 40PSI eventually around lap 5. Just for this reason alone I'll stick with AR-1s; I'm 15 heat cycles in and they're still going strong. Yes they are loud tires but definitely quieter than Toyo R888. I drive them to/from track (1hr each way) and in the city when track events are close together, but never in the rain. CR-S is good for city and AX or time trial and possibly wet weather, but wouldn't recommend for HPDE as you'll need to cut sessions short. Also, CR-S tire pressures don't drop quickly, so you can't really back off for a few laps then go hard again. Once they're above 35PSI, the session is over.

Is anyone finding stock for rear tires for GT3s? Cup2s don't show stock until late September and the Dunlops don't show any production, the best estimate is 3 months.
