Default DME report GT3 991.2 advice?

Hey folks.

Thoughts on this DME report for an ‘18 GT3 Manual with 11k miles?

The car is perfect spec and condition for me otherwise.

I wouldn’t worry about it. Here’s some math to convince you.

9,000 rpm = 54,000 detonations per minute.
Range one means barely over 9k rpm. So 400 detonations means less than 0.01 min or less than o.1 sec duration
Range 2 you can get just from engine momentum hitting red line at WOT on 1st, likely same scenario for range one.
1 range 3? Computer glitch, statistical variance, heebeejeebee…
No range 4, no range 5…..that’s the key.

So, the owner floored it a few times. Who wouldn’t? If the car is otherwise fine, that DME report is fine.

Thanks, and that theme seems to be common in the other DME threads.

That's a very incomplete report. It's missing very key information; Total Operating Hours and the Time Stamps for the over-res in Range1-3.

Aside from that, this is a very clean report. No 4-6 over-revs, and the over-revs in Range 1-3 are very minimal.

Hi All,

Was looking at a 992 GT3 that's CPO'd and this is the following DME read regarding overrevs:

Range 1; 1116 ignitions, 4950 mins. operating hours
Range 2; 285 ignitions, 4884 mins. operating hours
Range 3; 235 ignitions, 4884 mins. operating hours

Car checks out wonderfully otherwise, any feedback is appreciated, thanks guys!

Make sure you see the max rpm reached as well. I don't remember if on the 992 you get 3 over rev ranges or 6.

This is a good point. I was basing it off 991.2 rev ranges (6 total).

Good points! Will try to get the max revs and I do believe 992 GT3 has 3 total ranges as the report doesn't show "Level 4: 0 ignitions" etc...

Also would 4,884 mins operating hours be considered a 'while ago'?
