Depends how many hours it's at right now... if you haven't seen that part you can make an educated guess based on mileage and normal average speeds. Like 81 hours when the over rev happened times 35mph average is about 3K miles.

You may want to do some further investigation on that one.

991.1/991.2 GT3/RS have 6 ranges of overrevs, and anything less than range 4 is generally ok

992 GT3 has a total of 3 ranges of overrevs, anything in range 3 would be very concerning.

Range 1; 1116 ignitions, 4950 mins. operating hours
Range 2; 285 ignitions, 4884 mins. operating hours
Range 3; 235 ignitions, 4884 mins. operating hours

Car checks out wonderfully otherwise, any feedback is appreciated, thanks guys!

Thanks for all the advice/feedback, decided to pass for now and look elsewhere. My Indy mechanic told me that typically when it’s over revved to this extent, it will usually throw a code and the he said you definitely will know right away if the engine is affected/damaged. With 235 ignitions or .5 seconds spent at this range isn’t really a whole lot, but anything at this range would have many people unsettled. Previous owner probably caught it fast and clutched back in quickly? Also after a good amount of hours have passed (20+ hours) and the engine didn’t exhibit any signs of damage, it’s very unlikely that any damage occurred with the over rev. But I think at $250k, I will wait for another manual, cpo with color/spec to show up in the future. Thanks again guys!
