Default N Spec Michelins

Any issues with mixing tire spec front vs rear, example N spec Sport Cup 2s in front with M0 spec tires in rear?

I have 20x12 rims and have the option of mounting 305/30-20 on rear, learning that Michelin doesn't recommend for SC2s and is recommending 325/30-20. No N spec tire in this size, only M0.

TIA

I watched a very informative video years ago by a Porsche motorsports engineer talking about why you definitely want the Porsche Spec Cup2 tires on your Porsche. I can't really remember wat he said but I have always specified the N spec tires going forward

"Spec" tires can have up to 5 or 6 different compounds laid up across the width of the treads, with varying combinations. Choose wisely.

Not sure what you mean by Michelin doesn't recommend the SC2. Do you mean the non-N0 SC2 in that size?

I can tell you the N0 in 305 is wider than the non-N0 in 305.

Meant Michelin doesn't recommend N0 305 to be mounted on a 12" wide rim.

The Sport Cup 2 N1 in 305/30-20 comes from the factory on the 2018/2019 GT3 (which is a 12" width factory wheel in the rear).

Not saying you can't run larger; but Porsche specifically developed the SC2 N1 in 305 for the GT3.

This is because the N0 and N1 305 isn't a 305, more like a 320 designed for the 12" wheel. Trust me any other 305 tire that isn't N spec will be stretched.

Exactly why I said that in my first post!

I think Tirerack might not have the N-Spec tires in stock but other tire shops might. I would match up fronts and rears N-spec tires or non-spec tires as a set for max performance.
