2015 GT3 To buy or not to buy

If you think .1 RS engines don't fail, you'd be mistaken. That was one reason I decided against .1 RS, at least with the .1 GT3 you have some remaining warranty. Buy a .1 RS only if extended warranty

All depends on price. The three options I’d care about are:
FAL, even on a track car it is incredibly useful
Leather interior: I have a 2015 S with a standard interior, my 2016 GT3 has leather and the interior is way nicer-also the door cards on the leather interior reportedly don’t warp
Extended range tank: really handy at the track
the rain sensor is handy depending on climate, PCCBs are definitely a plus and this car has them, which is good.
it just all depends on price, but I’d think twice about the lack of FAL and the lack of leather interior.

I'm sorry the RS has the leather interior and like I mentioned it's a CPO so I would have a warranty for 2yrs. The cars are priced 150k - 200k respectively so I'm in .2 territory. So the next question would be .1RS or .2 GT3? This thing is snowballing out of control!! Lol

I would honestly go with newer simply because of engine improvements in .2 GT3, you likely will still have 2 years of warranty on a '18. .1 3RS is very special so you have to follow your gut with that decision

You're not helping!! Lol. I have been going back and forth on all three scenarios. The .1 3RS is a beautiful car and comes with a CPO. I guess my question should be which will depreciate the least amount. Before anyone starts with the investment conversation I'm not looking for an investment I'm just trying to limit my losses since I'm in and out of cars every couple of years.

GT3 and RS became a little more hardcore than .1 version. The engine is really a critical part of the equation and the .2 GT3 4.0L engine is just amazing and that alone as an upgrade should guide your decision process. If you have a workable .2 solution just do it and enjoy. If not the go with the .1 3RS cpo. They're all special cars and it's always better to go with newer, whether it's the radio and interface or simply aging of bushings and rubber components etc.. in this case engine technology and improvements should be at core of your decision process.

Good to get the engine replacement out of the way and end up with a reliable engine in the car for the rest of its life.

whatever, my splitter is pristine and I don't mind not having old gasoline sloshing in the tank.

That's exactly where i was a month ago. Ended up in a .1RS with 2 year CPO. Mostly because an RS is an RS. The snowball comment sums up my entire purchase. Pretty darn happy with my decision.

I want to thank everyone for their advice. I have decided to go with .1RS I'm going to take a look at this car tomorrow. Can someone tell me why this 2016 3RS has the wing so low? Was this an option? Thanks
