Hit 10K today. I've had this car since 10/2019 with delivery miles. I would have hit it sooner but the car was in the shop twice for a month because of a PDK replacement when it was brand new. I'm a strong advocate of extreme usage at every given opportunity instead of saving it up for the next owner who clearly won't be able to provide any form of acceptable return. Next up 20K.
That’s awesome, I got my .2 rs about the same time. Car had 700 miles. Currently just over 6000. My only concern is when I go to sell it it will be in sea of other cars with way less miles on them. I try to limit the driving as much as I can, it’s a benefit for me to do that because then the car seems more special if it’s not used more as a daily driver so I typically take it out on the weekends when the weather is nice. How long do you plan to keep yours and how many miles do you think you’ll be putting on it? Ultimately my question is what will our cars be worth in 4 or 5 years with maybe 40,000 miles when it’s evaluated with other cars under 5000 miles.

If you buy a car and worry about driving it and putting miles on it then maybe not the right car for you. It’s a shame that we judge cars on mileage instead of condition and how it was maintained. This mileage thing has been going on in the Ferrari world for a long time and now it has attached itself to Porsche’s. It used to be that mileage was a badge of honor. My philosophy is to just drive the car and enjoy it or sell it.
I understand we are all in different financial places, but owning a car that you bought to drive for enjoyment and worrying about mileage defeats the purpose. Good luck with your dilemma.
Congrats @RoyalPink, I remember the trials you went through with PDK when car was new, glad you're enjoying it.
I am just about ready to stop treating my .2 3RS as a garage queen and just drive it whenever and whatever the conditions. It has full x-pel wrap and told myself I would be nearly daily'ing it but car has only has 3400miles now 2 years after purchase... part is worry about resale value and part is want to keep is special etc. but bottom line, there will always be a newer, faster, better and am changing my outlook... no more garage queens. If you think of the money lost on taxes/sales and excise and insurance and also fact that you are not taking advantage of the manufacturer warranty then I think it makes no sense not to drive it as much as reasonable for its intended use.
Something I noticed about the pic after I posted this. If you look at the PCM in the pic the date is 12/24 hence my post from yesterday. If you look at the time in the gauge cluster and the PCM it is 12:24 PM. Odds are 1 in 720 to land on either 12:24 AM or PM in a normal day. Add in the fact the date was 12/24 as well makes the odds significantly higher for the date and time to match randomly like that. Pretty cool I think.

Think worrying about the miles will drive you nuts, enjoy the car and have fun. I always view a car as sunk cost, and it’s worth whatever when I sell as I used it for the enjoyment putting a smile on my face. Enjoy the now, as the tomorrow is not a promise ......Merry Christmas.
Glad to see someone driving them as intended. My 3RS has 8k miles on it. Would have more, but it splits time with 6 other Porsche's and I don't commute to work. Combined, I have put 31k miles on my Porsches in the last 18 months. As long as you keep them, you don't lose money.
