Weissach v. non Weissach

Hey guys,
So I'm interested in buying a 991.2 GT3 RS and I was wondering if the Weissach was worth it? There are two cars I'm looking at in the two color that I like. One is a Miami Blue with Weissach package and all the bells and whistles for 215k. The other is a non Weissach in Chalk with all the bells and whistles for 215k
Now, it seems pretty simple considering they're the same price but one has the Weisacch which is an extra 18k, and the other doesn't and they're the same price. The color doesn't matter to me since I love those two color, but considering the Chalk seems to be priced too high, I was thinking I could ask for 205k. Also, it's much closer to me so I could trade in my vehicle and pick up this one. The Miami Blue is a bit further and more of PITA to do a trade in since it's a 9 hour drive one way, while the the other is like 2.5hrs away.
Smart money would be on the Miami Blue Weisacch for 215k and just suck it up and drive there and back, but part of me wants to try and get the Chalk GT3RS for 205k if they move on it.
Thanks for listening !

I would hold out for a Weissach, for resale value if no other reason. If you track, definitely want the lighter W.
I was just in your position in my search for a GT2RS, and those are two of my favorite colors, along with red! I ended up holding out until I found a car with the options (including Weissach) that I wanted, and at a great price. I live in CA, but ended up buying a car all the way in Florida. I saved about $20K, compared to the ones in CA. I'm glad I waited until I found the right car that checked all the boxes.

Need more info because Weissach alone isn't that big of a deal breaker to me, aside from adding an additional 18k.
First, find out what msrp is for both and how many miles on each.
I understand both are loaded, but are the options what you'd prefer?
I prefer the painted hood vs. exposed carbon. Answering those questions, would help me decide which way i'd go.
I've had two Chalk 991.2s and currently have Miami. My two fav colors in the 991.2 offering.

WP is a non-issue if you plan to use the car hard.
The best bit is the titanium cage but that ain't in the US spec. Everything else is just feel-good factor. Means nought if utility is your focus.
On the flip side, WP with Manthey wheel discs are a must for max C&C cred![popcorn](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/popcorn.gif)

WP with the Magnesium wheels would be worth 10 to 15K at most.
Unless your racing it you will never know other then looking at the seat.

From my experience, WP will not hold value any better than a non WP version. There is a very large proportion of these cars specced with the WP (same, if not more than non WP). The difference you see in price is the 18k cost option for exposed carbon, it’s simply a more expensive build. If you really care about weight, get the non WP and throw on some BBS FIRs with a titanium catback system, and you’ll still keep some money in your pocket. In my opinion, you should go for aesthetics here and see which you like more. I wouldn’t consider “value” of either cars as a deciding factor. Best of luck on your decision, you can’t go wrong with either.

One of the advantages of buying pre owned, especially with these low mileage samples that were likely originally sold at MSRP or higher, is there is some depreciation already and you don’t have to absorb the initial hit of the WP up charge. Not saying it isn’t worth it, I just see that as a plus now. That said, and any incremental weight or performance benefits aside, it is definitely aesthetically different. I would only purchase the car that’s most appealing to you and not worry about the future value of WP. When I was looking for an RS I looked a long time at the .2. Didn’t initially like the look w/ WP and the giant stickers but it has grown on me or I am used to it now. Either way beautiful cars and performance to match. So at +200k plus tax... best to buy exactly what your gut says.
