I've been waiting on news of the STO myself. First heard mid August, then mid October, then by end of the year. I hope the make the Sterrato that was shown June 2019.

The Performante is awesome (had one). The sound, the performance, the handling, the brakes are just incredible. Its really thrilling. The NA V10 is so responsive and did I mention loud - in any mode (even strada) , but in Corsa several blocks away loud. The downsides for me are 1) the attention - off the charts 2) its very low / not easy to use around town - which obviously improves handling but if you want to drive it around town, you have to really pay attention 3) its really for canyons and tracks and early am drives far from the madding crowds 4) the seats are a little hard. Overall its super fun and a great car but make sure its what you want and you have time for it. The Evo may be a better compromise - same V10 power. But its not just a Performante without the aero. An Evo would compete with a 488 - both softer, not as low, more luxurious and can serve as about town cars.

I have a preformante and it's my favorite driver for around town by far. It's raw, loud, and makes a statement everywhere you go. The GT3/GT4/993 sit at home most the time.

I had a 458 speciale, sold it. No where near as raw or fun.

It is indeed fairly different in sound. You will love that I suspect.

Totally easy to daily drive if you wanted to. Totally comfortable and tossable.

Buy my 458 so I can get an 812.

Also, I love how the original post explicitly stated 580-2 and everyone is recommending Performante and Evo. Lmao.

I don’t own a Huracan, but I have about 200 miles of spirited driving on a 610 and 500 miles of spirited driving on a 580 Spider.

To be honest, both of those were way less engaging than a GT3 or a 458. My main complaint was with the steering feel and feeling of understeer . I think both cars had the active steering ratio option so it was ridiculously light at low speeds, and at high speeds felt artificially heavy.

Also note that you will get a lot of attention on a Lambo, even more than a Ferrari.

other people who’ve had similar complaints have said the Performante fixes all those issues, so definitely look into that if you want a Huracan.

I have a performante spyder...immediately upon bringing it home my wife fell in love with it and it's now "her" car lol

Anyway, it's gorgeous to look at and you have to love a V10 NA motor.

Other than that, if I had to sell a car in my collection and my wife wasn't in love with it...it would be the first car I sold.

To me, it's much more about the look than the driving experience. Don't get me wrong, it handles very well it just doesn't drive to me like a real driver's car. I'm glad my wife loves it. I'd gladly take the 911 Speedster all day long over it.

Have owned a Huracan 610-4, 991 GT3, and now a Performante. If you want a naturally aspirated supercar that sounds incredible and has the performance and looks to match it, you simply can't go wrong with a Performante, it's just sublime. The EVO and Performante are significantly better in terms of handling and steering vs the regular Huracan, Performante has that raw experience vs Evo is softer but still very capable. Looks-wise, Performante is very aggressive, the lines on the car, the front, and spoiler are just designed really well, it's a car that 10 years from now still looks good IMO. If you look at the used market, there has been a significant drop in inventory in Performantes with currently only 26 for sale in the entire country, for a car that was produced for 2 years that's very low and should say something about the overall demand. If the budget allows, I would go for a Performante, your resale value will be higher compared to other versions and you are buying one of the best Lambos ever produced.

First thing I did after I purchased the car was to have the factory Lamborghini race exhaust installed which also comes with a waiver that needs to be signed. It has the most ferocious barking downshift I've ever heard. It makes the N/A V10 sound incredible.
