Open Trailer Recommendations - Need some major hand-holding
The Plan:
I have a track event at Laguna Seca late Nov and was initially planning on driving my 991.2 GT3 with Dunlops down from Seattle to Salinas but now that I see the forecast on i5 may very well have snow, nearly guaranteed rain/ice, this is really inadvisable.
I just made the trip with Cup2s to Thunderhill and back 2 weeks ago and it did great, but the ice on the mountain passes is going to be a no-go. Second option would've been to take Hwy 101 but that adds an extra 20 hours of driving and increases the risk of tire damage etc along the way.
I have settled on getting a trailer for this trip and need to make it happen quick.
Tow Vehicle is a 2019 Raptor 100% stock.
Can you guys take a look at the following trailer and advise if it would be a good fit?
https://dealers.alumaklm.com/aluma-u...220xl-i2712040
Or suggest some general specifications that are a must?
Questions:
1. How do I tie down a 2018 991.2 GT3?
2. If it has a front air dam like shown above, will the car incur excessive amounts of rock chips etc or does the dam protect it from most of the rocks that my truck will kick up?
3. I will also be trailering a 2017 Viper ACR- Extreme which is lowered to track height with the splitter extensions. I'd guess it's comparable in trailering difficult to a cup car roughly.
4. If anyone else uses a Gen 2 Raptor for towing, please suggest what hardware I need to get to make the truck handle this properly.
It's coming down to the wire for this trip and I've procrastinated this project way too long, need to make something happen quickly. Any insight is GREATLY appreciated!

I've towed my 2017 R8+ on an open atc with my raptor and my 19 Gt3RS on my current Futura. I find it tows great up to 75 mph. I find if i set my cruise at 71-72 it's perfect. If I set it at 75 and I wind up passing large trucks at 78-80 towing down hill it wants to sway. I have towed approx 2500 miles like this and the only times i've been concerned is past 75mph. As for the guy saying get an enclosed there is no way I'd tow enclosed with a raptor, the rear suspension is too soft. I have heard of people making mods to the suspension but that's not something I want to do, that's what makes the truck so awesome the other 350 days a year.
