Default Wing = trouble ?

I purchased a 991.2 GT3 white three weeks ago, drove it 3 times, and got pulled over twice by the CHP.

The first time was for going 15 miles over the speed limit, which I shouldn’t be doing, but wouldn’t not have been pulled over if I was driving something else. And I was driving in the slow lane (right lane).

The second time was for talking on the phone while driving.

Is it the wing ? Anybody had similar experience ?

It’s the wing. The reason Tourings are holding value better is because they incorporate the NPV of all of the tickets you are going to get with the wing.

It has been my experience if you want to know if it is "the car", or in this example "the wing", then there will be a discussion about the missing front plate. If you don't have a front plate, and that didn't come up, it can be argued it is not the wing.

You've just been unlucky. Maybe its local enforcement and tolerance levels.
In over a decade I've never been pulled over in my winged P cars.

It's the white color, studies show it attracts cops 67% more than the wing does. Unless your wing has black end plates in which case the left one seems to slightly skew the data to the right... best option is to paint it camo so it blends in better.

Also red brake calipers.. yellows cause less tickets also.

wait.. what color is your dashboard trim?

Have you been living well? Maybe too well? Usually, karma comes ahead of the wing as a root cause, but they're both up there as high-frequency drivers for cop stops. That, and driving it like you stole it. Do that too.

Where in CA were you pulled over, which highway or road thereabouts?

Actually i have been working hard thus only got to drive it three times in three weeks. After the first incident I have been driving it really slow.

Thank you that makes me feel better. I am going on a drive this Saturday. Was originally going to take the GT3 and now is debating between the new NSX or Scud to circumvent the negative energy.

This at least worked back in May...

Me: going 20+ over in the RS

Officer: aggrieved at my driving prowess, bathes me in lights

Me: pulls over, rolls down window

Officer: Sir, do you know....

Me: "cough, cough"

Officer: ...

Me: ...

Officer: Have a nice day sir, please drive careful.

The deadly ticket combo! Argh! You might as well park it forever if you value your license.
