It will be years before you can get a well-optioned 991.2 GT3 for the price you could have bought one in early 2020.
Market is definitely softening compared to months ago because inventory is way up. But there's a lot of room between 'softening' and early 2020, where were going for $30k+ under MSRP. I'm not sure it'll ever get back to that level, even in a few years.

$10k cost on custom CXX won't help. More like MSRP at 180k instead of 190k.

I know its subjective but I think the spec is sharp and tastefully done. I wouldn't pay over MSRP for it however.

I didn’t pull the trigger early 2020 and regret it. I restarted a serious search in April at the height of the craziness and have been sitting on the sidelines waiting.

Once the 992’s start releasing in numbers, prices will ease on 991.2 down toward MSRP. A helluva bargain for owners who got to drive 3-4 years without a loss.

I'm on the same boat. Passed up a 6k mile chalk GT3 in that time. 168k MSRP and seller was accepting 125K. Seller was a big chain dealer selling for a friend suffering from terminal cancer. Didn't have PCCB which was okay but got bad juju from the back story. Wish that man and his family well.

Also passed up a delivery mile (8 miles on odometer) full PPF 188K MSRP GT3 6MT for $158k. Boy oh boy do I regret that one.

Lastly, lost a GT3 touring purchase for 147k from an unknowing Mercedes dealer. 1800 miles. Original owner couldn't take the buckets and traded in for an S class. Found the ad less than 30 minutes after it was posted. Dealership was 1/4 mile away from my house. Saw the car, 175K MSRP. Went home to grab my trade and it was SOLD... Found out CNC motors snuck the deal out from under me and ended up flipping it for 185k.

1st and early 2nd Q 2020 was something else.

Tell me about it. Was looking for a 675LT, which were approaching 200k asks at the time, but balked at the economic uncertainty and decided against it.

I’m glad that PTS Tourings aren’t selling for 250k+ anymore. I’d told myself that that would be my price if anyone ever offered me that, so it’s nice to hear that it likely isn’t gonna happen

Lizard Green .2 RS with 2200 miles. WP, PCCB, FAL, and full PPF. Asking price is $229k. This will sell quick if the ad is legit.

I'm probably in the minority here but as a buyer I don't value CXX at all. I would not pay one cent for someone else's vanity project. PTS is a different story, provided it is a color I like and feel that has a general appeal beyond my tastes. But CXX? To me, those CXX options are highly subjective and at-risk of not being appreciated by the market. It's almost like a seller trying to ask a buyer to pay 1:1 for aftermarket modifications: nope.

Agree very much with this. A lot of those things have value only to the owner that spec'd it. That mexico blue car - I love the paint, but would never do the blue piping. And to fix that? You'd need to order new seats completely.

I really like the blue piping. I appreciate what it added the the interior. It’s so different than every other LWB you see. IMO it adds a character.

I agree as well.... its one of those options I dont think I could bring myself to spec but would love to find on a car as long as not paying premium on it.
