To jorligan / holdens / jamie@dundon- how is the sound of the dundon street headers + oem muffler- is it significantly louder than all stock? And how does it compare to center bypass alone? Thanks!

Louder, deeper, and much better than stock under WOT. Under normal driving - you know its there and with valves closed it's barely louder than OEM under 4k.
Compared to the CMB, I think it is about the same "loud" at WOT, but has a better tone (deeper and more aggressive).
I am now debating if I should step up and purchase the Black muffler...
I would buy the street headers again in a heartbeat. Everything about them has been great.

For those of you with the dundon street headers with either oem or quiet muffler, would the “loudness” be OK if the car was your DD? Thanks again!

fairly subjective...
The exhaust wouldn’t bother me at all.
The lack of a decent audio system would/does bother me.... I like my tunes while slogging along with the masses.

Yes I would definitely daily this setup.
I also have a 997 RS with a side muffler delete and M&M center muffler. I would never daily drive the 997 with the current setup on it. It is way too loud inside the car with drone. On my previous 991.1 I did the side muffler delete with a stock center. This setup reminded me of the 997 as far as loudness goes on the street. Installed the Dundon race headers with the stock center muffler on the 991.1 and the drone went away. Two cars with similar setups where i would never consider daily driving them and as soon as the Dundon was installed the problems with drone and obnoxious noise went away.
So in my experience on two different 991 GT3 RS I always recommend the Dundon Header setup on the cars. Yes they can be daily driven with either the street or race setup (only exception is the race setup has more of an exhaust/gas odor and why my .2 has the street version) with no problems.

On thing for certain, not a cheap mod but the quality and customer service is apparently top notch. I also have no desire for the 992 so if I ever get bored this would probably be the route to add some spice.

Apprec all the feedback...given the $, hard to jump in with both feet without having heard the Dundon in person. Love the extra power, great customer service, build quality, just want to make sure it sounds "right". Have tried the SW and Akra CMB's (valves open) so far...both are very good but I prefer something that sounds a little "racier" without being louder. I really like the OEM RS exhaust note in both quality and volume-

I had Dundon headers on my .1 GT3 and manual.2 GT3 also my GT4. Just ordered a set of street headers for my PDK .2 GT3. All cars with stock center muffler. Absolutely no problem with using either of the previous 2 GT3s or GT4 as a daily driver.
Only question is do I add the loud muffler? I've heard a couple of cars cold start with the Dundon street header/loud combo. Definitely got my attention but after a few seconds the sound level was back to near Dundon street header/stock combo at idle. In the car cruising with the widows up not much of a change over stock. Drop the windows, get into the throttle and I'd defy anyone not to have a smile on their face with the Dundon street header/loud muffler combo.

As good as the Dundon setup sounds in videos, I have yet to hear one that does it justice. You really have to hear it IRL to appreciate it. I think it was worth every penny.
Too bad COVID is going on, otherwise you could come and hear mine when Napleton does a track day. I'm probably abut 3hrs north of you.

I have the Dundon full system with loud muffler and I daily the car. It’s hard to get the smile off my face when getting out of the car. I highly recommend the full system. Trust me, you’ll quickly forget the cost.

Is the Street Headers + quit center quiter than stock center when flaps are open/closed?
Also @ Dundon, did you in the meantime measure the backpreasure of a long tube header + lifetime load/quit/oem center when flaps are forced closed? If backpreasure is ok even in high rpm, this could be very interesting for track.

Definitely deeper in sound. Louder than stock until the engine is fully warm, after not that different although it is clearly deeper. I can still listen to the radio and talk hands free without issues. I don't daily but I do occasionally drive it to work which is 40 miles away on the expressway. Road noise from the tires is worse than the exhaust. There are some used long tube headers for sale, I say go for it. Significant cost savings. Car is definitely faster and on ramps are a new experience.

Have street headers with factory muffler. Really woke the car up. Factory exhaust doesn't do the car justice at all, and i have a new appreciation for the car now that I can hear it sing. I also find it has a deeper sound. It has a bit of a boom in the valve closed rpm range, but it doesn't bother me. It might bother some, but I dont see others mentioning it.
Only issue is that i have a little rattle now roughly in the 2000-2500 rpm range. Anyone experience this and found how to stop it? It is noticeable on the open road, but extremely noticeable is driving next to any kind of wall or somewhat enclosed area along the side of the road such as between buildings, etc.
