Default The GT3 RS is truly unbelievable !

Now today is the probably the first time I have really "driven" my GT3 RS properly on the road, I guess I have been waiting for a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 4S, which just give you that extra edge of security over Pilot Sport Cup 2's.

I have gotta say that the car is truly phenomenal in the way it switches in and our of turns and picks up speed in any gear. Also the sound with my MBRP rear muffler delete, the sound proofing removed is something else, I even question if an X-Pipe could be better (probably for non full on driving only)

I swapped my Ferrari 430 Scuderia for the GT3RS and with no disrespect to the Scuderia, the GT3 RS is just operating on a completely different level, its unbelievable, why would one one ever want another car, except a Spyder version of a GT3 RS ???

I suggest you also watch the following video in the spirit of driving, if you haven't seen already

Same here I've been thinking about RS but can't let go of my manual transmission and all the extras I did to the car.

I would wager that many would describe their experience with their current car (RS, GT3, etc.) the same way. Subjectively, I certainly agree with your perspective along with the reviewer in the video. Naturally, since there is another iteration of both models there are not as many discussions regarding the capabilities of the .1 RS. Shout out to those with the .1RS who are still enjoying an amazing machine!

Cheers!

it's truly one of the most complete and amazing cars available. my .2rs is incredible. but so was my .1 gt3. i think the best part about this post is that enjoyment comes from actually driving these machines.

I have a 19 GT3RS and think it’s great but re the notion why would you want another car I can tell you that I strongly prefer my McLaren 675LT spider— it is much faster, much smoother, more exotic, much easier to control, etc. The GT3RS is also gorgeous and wonderful driven hard, but I think it would scare the crap out of the uninitiated when driven hard on the street. also interesting that you had confidence issues with the Cup2 tires, which are very confidence inspiring in my opinion

But neither of them are manual. Aren't you bored of them. Uninvolving.

Kidding

2 amazing cars for sure.

Ok a hot day or on track you clearly cannot beat Cup 2's; from another thread "Yep I will be changing my Pilot Sport Cup 2's for some P4S as dont plan to track and my rear also steps out in the wet, after once completely losing control once in the wet with my Ferrari Stradale with PZero Corsas and soooo nearly having a major accident in a tunnel on the way to Monza, you sometimes realize you dont get a second chance. P.S just in case somebody in Switzerland wants a set of almost new Sport Cup 2's for a GT3 RS, with only 3k miles please let me know !"

Totally agree on the Cup 2s - they are great looking tires and sticky when HOT and I don't find them to be noisy, but otherwise, they struggle to maintain grip under hard acceleration in normal temperatures. The rear end can get a little squirrely under hard accel when temps are in the 40s/50s.

Im definitely looking for just the right 675LTS to add to the garage. They are getting harder and harder to find though.

The GT3RS is just amazing though, especially with the Dundon power package. Sounds incredible and just all around hard to beat the fun factor of this car.

the sound of the GT3RS is unbeatable, it is so visceral and even cathartic to unleash it at high rpm

The RS is great, but you will regret getting rid of your manual GT3 once the newness of the change wears off.

My GT3 is winged PDK- the 'missionary style' GT3, if you will.

The RS sounds a bit different, I know the air filters and titanium exhaust (?) are different, plus maybe it's opened up more? Sounds fantastic.
