991.2 is the prettiest 911 since the 997.1 since the 993. 992 will not age well. 991.2 GT3 Touring is an instant classic.

Yob or yobbo is British slang - a rude, noisy, aggressive young person.
*** or **** is British slang - a wealthy or influential person. It is a derogatory stereotype for someone with an aristocratic background or belonging to the landed gentry, particularly someone who exudes an air of superiority. See also 'toff'. Can also refer to the glans *****, but that is more a US thing.
As in Chris Harris always drives like a yobbo because he's a ****.

Are you folks sure the 992 GT3 will not be wider than the base 992? After all, the 992 Turbo S is 48 mm (= almost 2") wider in the rear vs the base 992... a whopping 1900 mm! My Spyder is "only" 1801 mm. My 968 was way narrower still.
If I had a 991 GT3 touring, I would keep it for ever, like I intend to do with my Spyder.

I have deferred the order on a 992 TTS. I had configured it and sent to my dealer but given the state of world affairs...asked him to postpone it...not so much (at all really) because of value but rather if I can only have one 911....than my 991.2 GT3 T IS it. I simply love that car.

Low miles and asking $11k below MSRP.

This Touring is probably a steal of a deal on price,
if the options move you (sans LWBs)

I sold my Touring and even though I miss the car very much, I don't regret my decision to sell. I'm for one am waiting for a 992 Touring as like others have said the 991 Touring is already a wide body so the 992 Touring won't be any wider or bigger than the 991 version. Furthermore, w/o the GPF, the 992 Touring will be lighter plus more aluminum in the body than 991, PLUS since the 992 Touring most likely will have the same 6 speed manual as the 991 so the trans won't be any heavier like the 8 speed PDK vs the 7 speed PDK. All the above would make the new Touring quite a bit lighter than the 991 version, plus of course the ITB and another few horses won't hurt either. Then the Touring will pickup the 21" rear wheel for bigger contact patch. And, one can always hope, a proper ducktail. The 991 Touring was 90% perfect for me, but I think the 992 version will be at least 95% perfect, or 100% perfect if it had a rear seat option. This makes the 992 Touring the perfect compliment to a 991.2 RS w/ PDK.
budget not withstanding, it's the only thing that would make me second guess a 991 Touring, and why i jumped on a 991 Carrera T.

Interesting reading this thread after what is happening lately with the Touring market. There is one on Autotrader for $240k. Best price I have found is $30k over sticker. In my opinion, the market is crazy right now and it will settle eventually. I was in the same boat a year ago, worrying that the economy was on the verge of collapse, and here we are with record prices being set on cars. I still believe that a big economic correction is coming and at that point prices will come back to reality. Any thoughts on this? Anybody looking to sell at MSRP?? ![](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

A Generic statement, but people often are so concerned of overpaying they will wait for 20% price corrections to buy, but only get that after prices goes up 50% first. Same thing on these cars....I have no idea if or when prices come down...if there is a different car you rather own that seems like better value currently, then buy it...if you think it's the only car that interests you and everyone else will quickly decide it's not the car for them, then

Why do you believe that? Happy to share views, but sometimes people say things like that because the market doesn't appear logical, while other people say that because there is a fundamental risk they see that they don't think the market is pricing in.

.... maybe..... investing has risks, but so does not investing.

There is no car I would rather have, but I’m in no rush and that’s why I’m asking. I’m not an economist by any means, but this is just what my gut tells me at this point and I was looking for counterpoints or other thoughts. The market is going crazy while businesses are shutting down left and right, unemployment is going up, and the government is printing money like it makes no difference. Seems unsustainable to me. On top of that, the 992 will be available in touring with a NA engine, a nice little ducktail (potentially, based on the 992 GT3 design) and a 6-speed. I guess I’m just trying to make sense of the current market.
