this!
i bought my Touring with every intention of keeping it for a long time. After two years - I’m even more inclined to do so. It’s a fantastic car. I have no idea what I would replace it with.

This topic has been much debated here. IMO, the bottom line is that those of us who ordered Tourings see them as a different model from the winged cars - not just an option. And from what I can tell, most of us have a different mindset about them as well. We wanted more classic lines and interior, less external attention, and for some of us, it was a chance to get the same basic formula as a 911R at a discount. I would never have purchased a GT3 with a wing and alcantara interior. Period.
The problem with trying to value something is that both parties have to agree on the price for an exchange to occur. My suspicion is that more Touring owners bought the cars to keep longer (or forever) and therefore there are not as many available. If you like the car and can negotiate a price you like, then pull the trigger. If not, keep looking.
And no, my touring is not for sale - even at $50K over sticker. I too don't know what the heck I would replace it with...

We’re just at the beginning of the pricing effects of this crisis. It’s only been a couple of weeks, so everybody can still hold onto their fantasies about their cars retaining their value. And you can still see that in the market. But as the reality of this settles in, with a greatly reduced number of buyers for luxury cars, the sellers will realize if they want to move automobiles they will have to reduce prices. As pressure to keep the lights on becomes more acute, prices will drop, potentially fast and potentially by a lot. If you want to buy and you care about price, wait a month or two.

Oh, wait. Those owners bought those cars with "pocket lint" and don't need emergency cash in a bear market. Dammit...

I ended up buying the Nardo car with a ADM(had zero relationship with dealer) and don't regret it whatsoever.. I knew I wanted a Touring and looked at all the ones that came avail. whether below MSRP, at MSRP or over MSRP and and none of them checked the boxes quite like this one. It was a 2019 with sub 1,000 miles, PTS, XPEL, 911R LWB seat inserts, CPO and already had the exhaust system i was going to install on any which one I ended up purchasing. I did my homework and I am proud to be the new owner.

no BS, I get to talk with Sales Manager to do a deal - they remove layers to make the deal happen.
A bit different than the normal, quite refreshing

Its a keeper for me and I drive it everyday. Coming up on 28k miles and did about 200 with my son yesterday. Motor...perfection! Suspension...great! PDK...fantastic! And sport buckets to hold you in. I have owned P cars for 30 years and I am truly content.

my timing is NEVER good when I buy a car. That said, and consistent with me, I bought one last week for 5k under sticker with 3500 miles.

Another reference point: I just pre-traded my 172K MSRP 2018 Touring with 3600 miles for 160K. With the tax credit available in my state on trade-ins and the high sales tax rate, it equals to 176K. Dealer is asking MSRP for my car inclusive of CPO.

also, my itch was for a speedster, but I didn't qualify for an allocation, and I'm grateful I didn't bite when they started hitting the market for shmucks like me. I saw Heritage editions selling well over 400k that you can get today for 320 or even less. Anyway, I decided against the speedster and opted for the Touring because (1) i want to drive it a lot, and (2) it's essentially the same car but without the pressure to keep miles low and the semi-manual top. I was even able to get a color I really lusted after, along with some nice options. All in all I'm hoping to drive the hell out of it. The only two alterations are side markers (done) and I am replacing painted sill covers with stock black matte sill covers.

I sold my $165K sticker Touring with approx. 7k miles for $15X,000 in late February. I was getting bids as low as $135k (CNC Motors) and most came in the $140,000's. I think those who think these trade for over MSRP are current owners who are either attempting to rationalize paying over sticker themselves or their dealers are stroking them. There were many dealers who flat out made no bids because of their concern about the recent market events.
