sure 991 Touring will drop, a bit.
Not it sure why 992 Touring will be epic. It’s just going to get a software tweak to the same engine to release another 20-25 hp, and be housed in a bigger, and subjectively uglier body.
not much epic about that.

Do you really think, performance-wise, it is going to be that much better than the 991.2? Say it gains 25 hp, is that an epic improvement? I, for one, know for sure that the 992.1 Touring will not be as easy on the eyes as the 991.2 because I prefer the classic lines of the 991.2. Plus, I prefer the analog dials, the old-school door handles, and the less digital interior. The 992 exterior and interior just don't work for me. Epic for others, perhaps, but I will be keeping my #retro #oldschool #outdated 991.2 Touring, thank you very much.

I sold my $165K sticker Touring with approx. 7k miles for $15X,000 in late February. I was getting bids as low as $135k (CNC Motors) and most came in the $140,000's. I think those who think these trade for over MSRP are current owners who are either attempting to rationalize paying over sticker themselves or their dealers are stroking them. There were many dealers who flat out made no bids because of their concern about the recent market events.

A friend looked at a property last week that the owner just paid $2.4M on three months ago. The owners got a margin call and are liquidating everything and were willing to accept a $1.9M offer. That is less than 20 days into the crisis. Now imagine business owners trying to make payroll or rent or home mortgages at the end of April and again at the end of May. What happens in June and July when they loosen restrictions on social distancing, but we have 15% unemployment? Not too many people are going to be in the mood to go out and spend big money.
Airline flights are down 90%+, hotel occupancy is the same along with Uber rides, meals out etc. I spend about $3K per week in travel for work. Now multiply that times 100,000 and imagine the impact to the economy because that is what is happening everywhere. Business travel has been cut off in almost every industry. Add on top of that the complete collapse of the oil market due to a simultaneous supply and demand shock. Some oil has already gone negative meaning that the producers are paying people to dispose of it because there is no place to store it. The US is the largest oil producer in the world so what happens in Texas, Central California or the Dakotas? That is not just a CV19 problem and it is not going to get solved anytime soon since both the Russians and Middle East would love to see a collapse of the US oil boom.
So how does the US economy rebound from so many simultaneous impacts? Could we see a sharp V recession? Sure anything is possible, but it is not likely.

992 GT3 should, at a minimum, get the ITBs, as seen in the speedster, so there will be a real mechanical difference.
992 (there is no narrow body) and 991 wide body (as used by GT3) have almost exactly the same external dimensions, so don't know why people keep repeating 992 is bigger? All the bloating happened in 997 to 991 switch.

I do think it is interesting that none other than Chris Harris got another Touring after his first one was destroyed in a horrific crash. You would assume he has the disposable income and the connections to get just about any car he wants. He did not get something else, he got another Touring. Smart man.

Yobo? Yarbo? The context is something like "...and when you want to be a complete "Yobo," you switch off the traction and stability control, and there you have it - skids!"

He was devastated he lost his first Touring. It spoke volumes that he turned right around and got another. There are some of people here who'd like us to believe otherwise (sour grapes? cluelessness? general misery?) but I've owned just about all of them and the GT3T is a special car.

Rocky - I have wondered the same. Was thinking perhaps it is some British slang term with which I am not familiar. Whatever the case, he is like a kid in a candy store in that winged GT3 PDK video. He is always good for a laugh or three.

I sold my Touring and even though I miss the car very much, I don't regret my decision to sell. I'm for one am waiting for a 992 Touring as like others have said the 991 Touring is already a wide body so the 992 Touring won't be any wider or bigger than the 991 version. Furthermore, w/o the GPF, the 992 Touring will be lighter plus more aluminum in the body than 991, PLUS since the 992 Touring most likely will have the same 6 speed manual as the 991 so the trans won't be any heavier like the 8 speed PDK vs the 7 speed PDK. All the above would make the new Touring quite a bit lighter than the 991 version, plus of course the ITB and another few horses won't hurt either. Then the Touring will pickup the 21" rear wheel for bigger contact patch. And, one can always hope, a proper ducktail. The 991 Touring was 90% perfect for me, but I think the 992 version will be at least 95% perfect, or 100% perfect if it had a rear seat option. This makes the 992 Touring the perfect compliment to a 991.2 RS w/ PDK.
