Default 997.2 GT3 to 991.2 GT3

Looking for feedback between two girls. Just sold my 997.2, now looking for a change and 991.2 ownership. Anyone in here jump ship from 997 to 991. I have had friends who sold their 997 for 991 and went back to 997.This will be my weekend canyon run and maybe track twice a year.

What are you hoping for in the trade (aside from a change for change's sake)?

Ah, gotcha. Well, I’m not a PDK guy but the one on the GT3 (PDK-S) works very well.

I did this ... I sold my 997.2 GT3 (mexico blue) back in 2017 and bought a new 2018 991.2 GT3 (both manual of course)

my "executive" feedback: 997 is a more "raw" drive, the 991 is "faster" and handles . better...

In particular:

- 4.0L engine is EPIC - I dont miss the Mezger
- the new 6 mt is amazing, the clutch is so light that my left calf has shrunk as a result of not regularly depressing the 997 clutch!
- the whole chassis/suspension and aero package is far superior - the car is simply more agile and more confident - I think this is down the to the RWS and the new (R) rear diffuser
- the FAL on the 991 is much better than the flaky 997 version

- but the car feels and is bigger ...

its not! - I have a 2015 GTS w/PDK ... while its the best system out there, and I have not driven PDK-S, I really dont think you will enjoy it unless you drive it in Sport or Sport+ (at least on the regular PDK dont know about the PDK-S)

If you are a Manual guy you will like PDK.

Then in about 8 to 10 months you will be bored to death punishing yourself why you did not get a Manual

Summarizes how I felt with my Carrera S. Enjoyed it for a couple of months, then wanted a manual.
