Default Going to Road Atlanta in a few weeks need recommendations on brake pads

The last time I was at Road Atlanta I was on stock pads and found it to be fairly disconcerting. I have done some searches but I'm still not convinced of what would be a nice pad to use strictly for the track. I have an account at OG racing and can get good pricing there
so any recommendations are helpful thank you.

Ferorod 3.12's they work great, not too hard on the rotors, and fairly priced. I leave them on all the time and they are not noisy unless you take a long break from the track. Have fun.

Hmm.I wonder about your car given what you're saying about the OE pads. Have you had the fluid changed/bled recently? Unless the pads are worn past replacement point I think bad fluid is a more likely cause of your braking issues. I've had great success with OE pads on GT3 and RS. They wear fast but also stop well.

If you want better pads but w/o a ton of BS I recommend Pagid yellow RS29 compound. These are good track pads with solid initial bite and reasonable wear profile. I used them on my RS when it was purely a track car. But the pads are okay for street use if you don't mind a little squeaking. OG Racing will surely have Pagid RS29. Note: My RS had iron rotors. If you have PCCB this is totally different and your braking issues are more concerning.

PS: Watch out for the groundhog near turn 10 - see my avatar.

Steel rotors
My comparison was with my normal dedicated track car which stops significantly better than the GT three did and I think the addition of some dedicated track pads would be significant improvement over breaking points previously experienced.
Thanks for the recommendations

You might be over braking

Road Atlanta is a momentum track, even in a rs

Only hard brake zone is on the back straight, but the down hill helps the nose

In particular was turn 10, 140 mph to 60 is not indifferent .

I was thinking the same thing, Randy...

I'm running flat from 7 through 10a at hitting 159, but I'm also using Race Technologies RE10 pads on Girodisc rotors. That is the hardest brake location on the track, the rest are relatively smooth with trail braking throughout.

Tend to agree.. RA is not hard on the brakes at all. was the braking inconsistent or spongy?

Neither inconsistent or spongy just not enough
Track pads are just a different animal.

Pad fluid first, pads second. Or both. But not pads without higher end fluid. Shouldn’t really ever go on track without upgraded brake fluid.

100% agree. Fantastic track pads and street serviceable.

How not enough

On stock pads/ stock fluid

I was in abs easily on back straight

To each his own, I think it's easy to get caught up on mods

The stock stuff is real good
