Default 2018 GT3 BRAKE HOLD

HI
just bought 2018 gt3 today and coming from 2018 911 GTS i have some questions?

1) will the values please go up now...lol
2) brakes seem to hold the car even in neutral standing still ...
3) engine very rough on idle compared to gts?
4) hold function? does not hold on incline and no illumination on dash saying HOLD
my gts would hold/apply brakes at stop with brake pedal pressed 2x in succession

5) brake pedal seems very hard

thanks

2018 GT3 doesn't have brake hold like the "regular" 991.2. All other stuff sounds normal to me. Although the rough idle is a tough call via the internet! GT3 is definitely more raw than the turbo cars.

The PDK in the GTs won't creep forward like in the regular 991s/Macans/etc - you have to get on the throttle for it to engage the clutch and start moving. It will hold the brakes briefly if you are starting on an incline, but there's no indicator telling you that it's on.

It has a short hold so it won’t immediately roll back when you take your foot off the brake while on an incline.

it’s only 3-4 seconds so not a true brake hold.

what does rough idle mean? If you mean it sounds like a ticking or gurgle then that is typical of all GT3

It will hold on a hill, does so on my driveway. If I take my foot off the brake and the car starts to roll backwards, it will engage the brakes and light up the HOLD on the dash. Seems inconsistent as it doesn't always do it. Must have something to do with rate of the roll.

Rough idle is mentioned in my cars manual.
So yes, it is normal...
Did not notice much of a difference between the brake pedal feel at normal use even though went from steel in C4S to carbons in the GT3. Carbons waaay better on the track.

brake pedal is way harder on gt3.
gts brakes had softer feel but braked hard this has no movement as such and feels hard but brakes good?

it’s not the carbons that are better than your c4s it’s the master brake cylinder in the GT3. It’s what gives the hard brake pedal feel and the reduced pedal travel. I paid extra to swap the 997 GT3 master brake cylinder into my 987 cayman S.

enjoy your GT3!

just to confirm that pdk does not creep?
my gts in drive the car would motion forward on flat surface when taking foot of brake.
in gt3 it would stay stationary under same conditions.

correct the PDK will not creep in the GT3. When sitting the pdk-s is actually in neutral.
