GT3 owners with no front lift, how bad is it?

No FAL on mine, although I dont have a steep driveway. I have not had any parking lot issues either.....

The industry has spoken that PAG's FAL is one of the fastest if not the fastest, whenever I see an uneven road surface or have to enter a premise and I don't like the driveaway angles, it comes straight on.
It has saved my RS from endless scrapes and I put this as the must have option that should actually be standard and no cost to remove from factory.

Have FAL and never use it...

It's liberating not to have that extra hardware sitting up front in a dedicated sports car that puts a premium on lightness. Had it in a 991.2 C2S with spasm and was nice but actually never needed it. In the RS and Touring, there have been a few light under chin scratches but nothing visible unless looking from underneath and simply replaceable with the rubber chin.
In some folks' driveways and situations it may be critical but the thought of driving around with all the extra hardware (even though it's light overall and improved since previous gens) when you go after every method to lighten the car and suspension is an incongruence.
I see it as a long term liability not an outright bonus but to each his own. Also it will not protect you against a high speed dip or bump that creeps up on you while driving, only identified obstacles which for the most part can be negotiated with slowing down and a slight angled approach if even that.
One caveat, the above are for stock height settings, if you lower your car then obviously it becomes more important to have FAL than otherwise.

I have FAL on my GT3T and no FAL on my 992 Targa 4s (it sits just above 5 inches as the targas do not have SPASM just PASM - so +10mm higher. The targa has zero issues in almost all cases, I have had a few curbs/entries, that I either park elsewhere, or do a 45 degree entry...
I am surprised no once mentioned on the GT3 (which is only about 3.6 inches in height from the front spoiler to the ground. I have a 4 post lift with dual hydraulic jacks (to lift both front and back, when doing tire work, suspension, etc.). Even with my extended race ramps, and the clearance for the hydraulic lifts - I need the FAL on my GT3 to get it comfortably on the lift. I could probably do it with the extended race ramps, and remove the hydraulic lifts (they stick up a bit) or move them full forward position on the slide rails to allow the car to level out fully on the ramp.. It would be a little close for comfort when putting it up on the lift (specifically if I was by myself). and not having to move the lifts around for max clearance.
I have found anything 4" or less clearance - that usually prompts me to get FAL. My Mac sits also very low, I think the GT3 is actually a bit lower - so good to have on a few occasions, specifically getting it on my lift.

New spoiler lip prices
Reviving the thread. Did you guys notice the front lip is now USD 600 for the 991 and USD 385 for the 992…. What an inflation.

I am seeing $385 at Suncoast which I believe is what I paid back in the day when I had to replace…

I still scrape with the FAL when I pull into work. Although I do think it's the rear bottom diffuser scraping and not the front. So in short whatever help you can get, take.
