Looks like both your GT2RS and your GT3RS have the exact same part number factory controller (part # 991.618.450.54), so Yes you can buy one DSC and use it for both cars. But not at the same time of course.

I got super excited about this post, and spent the 20 mins in the back getting the carpet out from between my roll bar (BBI - it was a major effort I must say) and snapped a photo of my stock controller - sadly my part number doesn't match any of the ones listed at all 991.618.450.51.

Any thoughts? This is a 991.2 GT3 w/ FAL. 2017 09 was the build date.

Happy to be a test subject - so long as I can return the unit if it doesn't work as planned 15% discount for testers right?

Hi. Thank you for your effort and for posting your controller part number! The "51" controller is not listed in Porsche's factory parts catalog. My guess is the controller label number of "51" is actually categorized as the "50" in the parts catalog. There has been times where OE parts doesn't have matching number as in the parts catalog. I'll send you a PM regarding testing.

Default GT2RS FAL Tested Good!

The New DSC Sport V3 controller works great on GT2RS with FAL! This car came from the factory with "54" PASM controller.

I will wait since I don't know if I could get a refund if it doesn't work. Looking forward to your review.

Ok, some good news - 991.618.450.51 worked with the DSC V3 on 991.2 GT3 w/ FAL. Installed it tonight, car fired up, no CEL or warning lights, FAL worked normal in either hard or soft suspension mode. Took the car out for a quick spin around the San Francisco (crappy) roads. To me it felt like a smoother and more comfortable ride, the sometimes annoying clank from my roll bar has also mostly stopped. So for street driving it's working well based on 20 mins drive. I have 2 days at Thunderhill this weekend so will see if I can beat my 2:04 PB with this setup and if the ride feels better/different.

If you want to leave the USB cable installed (I did b/c it's a pain getting my carpet in and out with the roll bar) make sure you get an angled connector, it's tight back there.

Now need to figure out what kind of alignment I need beyond what I have

DSC(Dynamic Suspension Control) is a plug & play control module that replaces the factory PASM control module. DSC has two modes for the suspension(Normal Mode and Sport Mode) just like the factory PASM control module except in each mode DSC commands each damper independently using a much wider dynamic damping range(DSC Normal damping range is 10%-100%, DSC Sport mode damping range is 20%-100% with greater sensitively to increase %). Within each DSC mode's dynamic damping range the commands to the dampers are made in real time to the driver's input(braking, steering, cornering). In addition, DSC has our exclusive Velocity feature, which uses the real time data from the car's ride height sensor to tune high speed, med speed, low speed damper Compression and Rebound. Other DSC features include better control of the car's electronic engine mounts, and Launch mode for the dampers(when activated basically commanding the dampers to be "drag shocks" only during the launch which is an advantage for AutoX, standing start races, and for drag strips). Each DSC includes our standard calibration so it is plug & play in minutes. Our standard calibration was created from hundreds of hours of track testing with pro drivers, damper dyno testing, and road testing. "As is" DSC has impressed many drivers. However, the calibration is programmable by the user should the user wants a specific characteristic. That's my elevator pitch.

DSC has been available since 2013, it was first offered on the 997 cars and have received glowing reviews. There are many 991.2 GT3/RS/Touring/GT2RS drivers wanting DSC after there very positive experience with DSC on their 991.1 and 997 cars. For a better part of a year DSC wasn't compatible for 991.2 GT cars with FAL. This particular thread is for purpose of introducing the new DSC V3 controller with FAL compatibility for 991.2 GT cars.

I recently installed a DSC unit in 991.2 GT3RS with FAL. Thank you to Derek, Ben and crew @JRP in Mississauga, Ontario for all your help.

The cars suspension definitely feels different. The car feels wider, like I have an extra few inches of tire, or grip on either side. Testing the car on the track I would say 0.50 to 0.60 improvement in lap times at Mosport.

Drove the car car last night on the street. Steering wheel doesn’t jump around, car feels smoother and wants to party all the time...

Thanks for the pcitures. Now I know, that the .2 RS rear carpet is not different to mine in the .1 GT3. Thought I can change that part to reduce noise insulation
