991.2 GT3 manuals *PRICES FALLING*

What do you think was going to happen when they introduced 'PDK'? Any Tom, Dick and Barry that couldn't and wouldn't drive stick brought a 'GT' car.
Harris and Cammisa bought called it when PDK was introduced as to how it would dilute the GT brand into something that any yahoo with funds could drive.
In the Auto auction circles, they care less about whether a car is MT or Auto. A GT3 is a GT3 when it comes to their volumes.
Back in the day, heel/toe drivers cared more kinematics and proper engineering instead of these 'frequent' value threads.

$15k under with fee. Seems about right. Yet I get lots of messages from people asking for tourings, especially PTS tourings .... (I am @ptstouring on the gram). I don’t see any real deals out there. Maybe people are keeping them (one can hope ....).
I get the PDK/6MT thing as that is a different experience and there still seems to be a slight premium on 6MT (Not taking a position as it’s bourbon and scotch), but the wing/touring price delta is nuts to me. If I was buying now, I would get a stripper wing 6MT with FAL and buckets. If you could find it $15-20k off, that’s a heck of a car for the price.

It’s just supply/demand. My sense is that Touring demand grew over time, but what is for sure is the simple fact that far fewer Tourings exist. And many wing GT3 owners see the RS as a step up (and so they move on to RS’s), whereas I doubt many Touring owners (and hopeful/future GT3T owners) think much about the RS at all.

M5 I agree. I love your build. You and Mafoofan have similar Miami cars with sort of inverted interiors (yours has painted trim, his has a lot of Miami details but not the trim). Saw his in Brooklyn. Miami wing is a great look.
The spec it to your taste was all I was focused on. I don’t care about the cost (or what anyone else thinks — although they feedback on my car has been surprisingly (to me) positive — even the wood wheel and allseasons). If I was in the position where I did not get a build, it would be a lot harder to pick from what’s on the market.
I agree the touring people generally don’t want to step up to an RS (saw a couple get an R) although I suspect that is true of a number of wing manual people and maybe some GT3 PDK people too as the GT3 is a lot more under the radar than an RS.

Got my baby back today. She's been with Moe since Rare Shades 4, back on September 14th. She's now equipped with the Musicar Stage 3 Plus. The "Plus" is a subwoofer in the back of the car (picture below). This sound system puts Burmester (which I have in my GTS and which is very, very good) to shame. The fully integrated laser jammer and radar detector work beautifully as well. Yes, evilfij, you can count me in as one of the Touring owners who opted for the Touring over the RS (I wanted what groundhog calls an "anachronistic") manual transmission. He calls it "anachronistic," I call it a magnificent manual transmission. One that Porsche has honed and perfected over 55 years of 911 production. You can also count me in for someone who will be keeping his car forever. I don't have any kids (yet), but this is an heirloom that is only going to look more cool and magnificently "anachronistic" in 20-30 years. "Prices falling?" Maybe yes, maybe no, but as I have said before, for me, depreciation is directly proportional to my appreciation of the car. The more I drive it, the more I appreciate it and the more driving memories and road trips. I can't put a price on happiness, fun and great memories.

All this chatter about values, has made me appreciate my GT Porsches more.....
I cannot drive either my Miami Blue 6sp GT3, nor my GP Silver PDK GT2RS right now due to total knee replacement surgery a week ago...so they sit in the garage, depreciating while I get better...but all this talk about VALUE seems totally meaningless next to not being able to enjoy my toys....
Yes, they will eventually be worth less than what I paid...DUH!

As a good friend of mine once said, on long drive to RGRUPPE Treffen, in some older and very valuable longhand 911's:
'Let's drive these PIGS....'
Why buy a car...and leave it for the next guy to enjoy? It just makes no sense to me....
