Crikey the noise around town is loud this year. Seemed like everyone with a loud exhaust decided to do a midnight run last night. Had the windows open and could hear cars wailing all over town. Saw a bunch of cool cars running around Monterey this morning though.

Well the car bro crowd turned downtown Carmel into an Oakland sideshow last night. Bunch of tards with open exhausts. Laying rubber on Ocean, really?. Surprised more people didn't get arrested. Cops weren't prepared. I expect they will be next year.

Seriously, has the stupidly loud race exhaust on a street car not been played out by now?

I heard the same thing by others. Hate to see a great show get ruined by a small group of idiots.

Too bad about Carmel. I was there with the Mrs from about 930 to 1 having brunch. Nice crowd. Revved the ol’ air cooler a few times with the crackles on Ocean for sure. But burn outs and such have no place when so much can go so badly wrong. We all know the possibilities!

I’m not sure if it was noticed, but they put up barriers to prevent the crowds from cheering on the tunnel blasters. I like what they did about moving the “exotics” out to Broadway in Seaside. Extra revenue, larger space, more parking, etc. Frees up the regular tourist in Cannery.

CAlexio, I hope you didn't get evicted from the Ferrari booth in Italian this year?

That was a memorable post from your PB thread last year; thanks for sharing.

That's not entirely true. I live in Seaside and my business is on Cannery Row and I'd say there was actually more space on Cannery Row they just chose to not use all of it. They really only used half of it. In any event, they should move the entire circus to Fort Ord in the old motorcade area where there is a ton of open space and flat roads. Hell, they could even put a skidpad and let any of the idiots doing donuts do them there legally in a "controlled" environment. There are plenty of options but I'm not sure if EOC and now EOB would want to do something like that?

Just my thoughts....

Anybody happen to be in the room for the Type 64 auction cluster? Would love to know what it was like.

It was a cluster. The live stream miscalculated grossly! I mean it wasn’t even close. It was 3/4 of the auction with uncorrected $$$$. It started at 12mil, went to 20, then 30, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 63, 65, 70mil (guys scent was poor this one, even though he’s been doing it for the last 10 or so years) then back to 16mil, then 17mil. It was a bit crazy there, but what a joke for such an important piece.

Suffice to say, the bidders were screwed on this one. Poor representation for sure.

I did happen to see the one driven by the family last year at Rennsport and for a private event at Folktale last year. Pleasure seeing and meeting David Piper and many others. Didn’t see Prueniger though.
