I just noticed the wire attached to my one flap on the back for the top is loose and the flap keeps falling down when trying to raise or lower the top. Any ideas on a quick fix?

I found the Speedster to be very quiet especially with the roof down. Yesterday I took my Speedster for a drive back to back with my 992 Touring and I find the touring is perfect straight out of the box and I really had to add an exhaust to the speedster.

The CGT would have to trounce it in the sound department??

When I bought my speedster I felt that the only step above would be a CGT, however the gap is fairly significant including the price delta.

The CGT should never have a louder exhaust and outside the car it sounds MUCH better than when driving even with the top off. There's no need for unwanted attention in my view so Ive actually never changed any Porsche exhaust. I find the speedster with the sport button on and flaps open is near perfection! Its rough, metallic, and has that locomotive smoothness to it all in one package in these GT3 motors. The CGT has those same attributes with the flaps open and top down. Lots of character, I suggest finding a windy B road with big trees hanging overhead. I couldn't imagine needed more sound.

I do really like this look, planing on just taking front wrap off. The issue I'm having is would this have been done at the factory? Was there a section to order factory decals on Speedsters like some of the new cars? Just taking about the numbers and Porsche logos.

Yes, the number and the Porsche logo were all available from the factory when you specced the car out. A simple request that everybody could have requested back in the days.

This person also calls it a baby CGT exhaust note. Agreed.

That car has gorgeous spec.

I feel the exhaust could be a touch louder for my taste.

An aftermarket exhaust is the only mod I am considering, but I know that it is a very slippery slope.

Speedster owners - do you know how to pull the slack out of the line on the top back flaps? I have one side that stays up and the cord is tight and one that is loose and won't stay up. You can work around it close the back but would prefer it worked.

I went down the path of removing the stock exhaust with a GMG bypass system with valve controller.

It is certainly louder.

The only other option would be to remove the inside of the OPF filter to give it a cleaner more pure sound.

Definitely required IMO.

This is interesting. The sound of these cars really does get better the more you drive them!

I have considered having the ‘inners’ of the OPF filters removed but a little hesitant from a dealer/warranty perspective.
