Debated this for a while. Ended up going with white gold metallic for my chalk dot 2. Weird as this sounds the black hides the sportiness of the car. Almost tames the beast. Whereas the gold really brings out the race car IMO. Pictures don’t do it justice. When rolling they look incredible. Wheels on 3 weeks, have had car 4 months. 3x as many looks, likes and thumbs up In that short time span. Can’t go wrong with gold

Exactly!!! that is exactly what bugs me..but unfortunately not my wife ( lol )

( but to be fair i have to admit that under sun the blacks do show some definition.. but no where near the gold )

This is a picture of the scrap wheel i bought from a tire store for 40$ to run tests on.

I picked it up from the powder coater today.. Satin Poly Gold. NO top coat.
Pictures under different lighting from when i was driving home..

I must say I agree with everyone here who has chosen this color.. it is really gorgeous.. and it takes on so many different looks/characters under different lighting.

Are those FI-Rs? How about a close up shot. I'm going to do something with mine next time I need tires.

thanks

they are the BBS magnesium’s. As mentioned above gold really changes shades dependent on lighting and angle. I don’t have a direct sunlight one and it’s raining today but I will add it in a day or two. In direct sunlight they really pop. I almost went aurum but I decided on a lighter shade. They all look fantastic imo. I Never would have thought in a million years I’d have gold wheels one day, but Porsche pulls it off brilliantly.

Gold all the way

I remember one time I saw a Metallic Red Pagani with Gold wheels in Newport Beach

Porsches are so conservative the Gold wheels turn them into exotics

Really completes the look of your car

with silver, grey, or black wheels they don’t do anything

the Gold is just so much better

i also was strongly changing Metallic Grey to Metallic Black

but the Gold is just so much better

Looks great. I am torn. I have the gold wheels (see avatar), but just ordered some black FI-R's. Maybe it would be different with white or chalk, but for some reason I just think gold clashes a little with silver. I still like the gold a lot, but think I will like black better.

Either way, I am keeping the stock wheels, so I will have both that I can switch back and forth.
