I'm not sure everyone knows what's going on. I still think that they set it out to 3/29 so as to not set expectations to be sooner. Better to tell customers the issue is resolved sooner than expected, then to have to go back and indicate that it will take longer to resolve.

That's what I'm hoping for.

This is what my screen looked like yesterday afternoon:

The guessing games are going to drive you guys nuts. Speaking of drives, taking the RS out now and not worrying about any recalls.

wow thats a first. they've always been willing to check for me. i wonder if a bunch of us are calling and they are just getting tired of it. i spoke with anita and she was helpful although she did not inspire confidence. acted as if the delay was a nonissue to begin with.

This ought to be entertaining. Has to be a significant safety-related issue for a delay of this sort. Mine is still sitting at the factory awaiting ED. Will be interesting to see if it only is related to certain build dates or if a recall will happen for early production cars as well. I just want them to have it fixed in time for March ED!

I wouldn't want to be on the PAG PR team trying to finesse the messaging around this.

Porsche PR does not care. I went through this with the touring CARB hold. On the maybe plus side, they told me my car was stored inside and from appearances, it was.

CARB /EPA holds are a world away from what this looks to be.

I don't want my RS extra crispy

I sure remember that! PCNA wasn't helpful at all during that time. I heard from a reliable source at Rennsport that the touring hold should have never happened...it was a mistake. Fortunately, I was generously compensated for them taking my car back for 2 months.

1. Should we expect or ask for full detail and paint correction for this mess? (Considering the car may be left outside in the snow with those temp covers on - no way is that good for the paint).

2. Should we expect or ask for compensation for cars being held up?

I am totally grateful for being able to order a 2018 GT3 Manual... However, receiving a 2018 car in April of 2019 seems very strange.
